Eulaliaaa!

Scarleth sighed, shaking his head, "Too many, Spero. Too many." He said, moving a makeshift couch back into place. He looked at the wall it had been covering. Carved into it was a map with several locations marked on it. He looked back, "Hey, has anyone seen Stashi? I've not seen her since this morning." He asked.

OOC: By the way, Ashenlance is actually in Brockhall ^

BIC: "I...I don't know where she is," Mystery admitted as she stared at her mutated feet. "I saw her last before I got hurt by guns...knowing Stashi, though, she'll be managing. Perhaps we should still go look for her though." Putting a chair back on its legs, she added, "We're done cleaning the area now. We just need to... bury the dead and heal the injured." She gazed around the room with a sorrowful look that suggested that many things were on her mind.

The fastest way to a man's heart- Or anyone's, in fact- Is to tear a hole through their chest.

Indeed. You are as ancient as the soot that choked Pompeii into oblivion, though not quite as uncaring. - Rusvul

Scarleth shook his head, "You do that, matey, I'll only get in the way. Healin' ain't my thing, never knew how. I'll lend a paw with cooking, I bet everybeast is starvin' down 'ere." He said, walking to the kitchens and beginning to help the workers cook a meal.

Wot, wot!

Spero nodded, stretching out her wings. "I'll see what I can find," she said. " I can look out for Stashi, too. And can you please make sure those moles don't eat all my food, Scarleth?" She asked, a weak smile hovering over her lips in an effort to lighten her friends' spirits.
"Get him! Grab that spy! I want his head!"
Basil chuckled. "What's the matter? Isn't your own head good enough? No, I don't suppose it is. Ugly-looking brute, aren't you?" -Basil to Cluny the Scourge (Redwall)

"The second you change "I can't" into "why not", you can do anything in the world."

Following the other captain onboard along with the others Ridge waited patiently for the man to begin explaining what exactly was going on. Hoping he hadn't doomed Calvin to a life alone in the woodlands as the ship lifted off higher and higher.

                      -----------------------------------------------------

"Your right, I'll fly my ship off and follow the other vessel." Calvin said pointing at the large ship still hovering several miles above the planet. Taking off at a quick jog he ran back the way they had originally come.

"So tell me?" He asked Stashi while running, breathing lightly. "What happened on this planet, I know very little after the systems went dark, most of the bases lost contact with us long ago. We were to busy with... Our own problems at the time to care much."

Stashi shrugged, "Well, a lot has happened here. When I was just a little one, barely able to walk, things were normal. Redwall was a great abbey in Mossflower Woods, a legendary place of peace and hospitality. Salamandastron was a huge mountain stronghold, ruled by badger lords and their fighting hares. Humans came, exploring the world. I was at Redwall during that time, with my brother. We all agreed to let humans in, to welcome them. They turned on us, taking us to their... labs. I was one of the first to go, so I don't really know all that happened after that. They had me in a cage for years, hurting me and cutting me apart. That's when I grew wings, I wasn't always like this, I even had red fur. My brother and I managed to escape with some others, we made it back here to find nothing. Redwall was in ruins, Salamandastron had erupted, and there was death everywhere. We managed to set up a camp in the ruins, defending it and hiding from humans who came back to find us. Most of us survived, but my brother didn't. He kept mutating, he didn't stop until he died. So if we seem like beasts that want to drive you out of the land, it's for a reason. None of us want to go back to the humans, not after what happened." She said, then shook her head, "I'm sorry, you probably weren't wanting some long answer." She laughed.

Scarleth smiled, "Don't worry, your food's safe." He said, watching as several young animals tried starting a fire in the middle of the room, giggling as one of the older children sent sparks flying from her paws.

Spero smiled, then took off into the early night sky. She circled the edge of Mossflower woods, peering through the charred  trees for plants that could be used for bandages and any sign of Stashi. The young kestrel flew deeper into the woods and was rewarded by small patches of watercress and dock leaves. Spero landed and started pulling them up, satisfied with her find.

OOC: I think those are healing herbs, sorry if I got it wrong  ;)

"After the end of the plague, the remaining countries formed a coalition," The Captain explained. "The coalition's main purpose was to restore order on earth, but we also decided to arrest Kosovo for her crimes."

"We're getting higher up," the pilot interrupted from the cockpit. "We should be at the Magnanimous in 30 seconds."

Mystery actually had a very limited knowledge regarding healing, so she decided to help with burying the dead. Using her arms and extensions, she carried the bodies outside until all of them lay on the grass just a bit of a distance away from the shelter. Night lay over Mossflower, and Mystery paused for a few moments to just focus on her breathing and feel the wind gently chill her thick fur. Sorrow pricked at her heart as she thought about how this country had changed. Shaking her head as if physically trying to get rid of these thoughts, she dropped to her hands and knees and started digging a hole for each body - this was one of the times when her mutated digging claws came in handy. She was soon done with this task and dropped the bodies in the pits before refilling them. The sorrow in her heart grew as she went on with this work. "I'm sorry, you all," she murmured, although she knew the bodies could not hear her, "I'm sorry this happened to you. I'm sorry." Feeling tears in the corners of her eyes, Mystery finished and sat on the grass, tired and hungry. She craned her head back to gaze at the dark sky above, her extensions rippling in the wind.

At least the sky hasn't changed, even after all this. She suddenly remembered the sight of a spaceship, foreign to Mossflower, streaking towards the forest. Or maybe it has. It's still beautiful, though. She looked all around at the stars scattered around her, some brighter than others, blinking mysteriously.

Mystery knew she should get back inside. And she would, in just a bit. Part of her really didn't want to go back at the moment, but stay here with nothing else for company but nature. The Redwallers seemed nice and trustworthy, and Mystery was grateful. But she didn't want to go back right now.

They know where they belong...

Scarleth came out of the shelter, sitting by Mystery and offering her plate of food, "I managed to save you some, hungry?" He asked, setting it beside her and looking up at the sky, "Pretty, ain't it? Sometimes I wonder why it was us. There are so many lands out there, why did the humans choose to land here? We were so happy where we were..." He said.

Ridge nodded understandingly secretly raging at the other captains actions against Natalia hoping he would have the chance to speak with her.

"I understand captain, her actions are questionable at best, perhaps I could speak with her, you captured her, right?

                          --------------------------------------------------

Calvin brow furrowed as they stopped for a quick breather, taking a long drought from his canteen.
"That's strange, Space Exploration Codes banned the physical study of intelligent creatures, those scientists are criminals now if what you say is true. This doesn't make sense, is there more creatures like you that got captured and escaped?

Stashi smiled, spreading her wings, "It's true, this is proof. And yes, I could take you to them... maybe not. We all hate humans, they would probably kill you. But if you really want to see them..."

Mystery smiled at the ground and accepted the plate. "Thanks, Skarleth. It really is beautiful." She paused and sighed. "We don't know why the humans did what they did, but we can't change the past. Might as well make the future better." She tucked into her food, glancing at her new friend. "You're blessed to have your sister, though."

The bull had chanced upon the Abbey. He looked out of the bush he was hiding in, and saw the the red sandstone. "Humans must be the cause of this. This place will be a good base" he thought as he got up and blew a horn, telling his men to come to him.
