Steam has some great daily deals from now until Jan 1st.
Today, Portal 2 for $7.49
Get it if you haven't.
(edit:
Also, Steam is overrun with 503 errors today.

If that happens again, I'd jump on it, but I can't buy anything until Christmas, unfortunately. I hope o get Portal 2 for Xbox (or on Steam) if I get any money.
Received mostly negative reviews.

Steam is having a huge contest, and the winner gets EVERY GAME ON STEAM! O_O

Lily

That is CRAZY how would you play them all? Aw, who cares, I WANT ALL THE GAMES!

I just bought Bioshock on sale. I never played it when it first came out, and I fell like I'm missing out on something cool. I may even get a chance to play it... next year. :P Have any of you played it?

I'm on Chapter 6 of Portal 2 now, after buying it yesterday. Kind of stuck, but I'll manage I'm sure.

Nope, I haven't played it. I would recommend the game 'Bastion' though. Fantastic gameplay, with great music, and stunning graphics. 10/10 in my book.

Portal fans might enjoy this video, aired at GDC (Game Development Conference), currently going on in San Francisco.

That is awesome! Although in the end the one they used was better suited to the game, that one would have been so funny to watch.

Apparently I became a Portal fan too late - had to pay $40 for the 1&2 pack.  Looks like they had 2 on sale about a week before I bought it... I had decided to wait because I was working on final projects so I didn't even look into it, and turns out I missed the sale. :(
Amazing games, though.  I am absolutely obsessed.

Matthias720

When you've beaten them both, feel free to post about cake and companion cubes as much as you'd like. XD

Dawnwing

Haha, I've beaten them both already.

If you haven't seen these already, I recommend:
This is Aperture - A fan-made video which is a Portal version of "This is Halloween".  A day after it was uploaded, it was posted on the official Portal Facebook page among other sites, and it gained a million views in about three days.  (The person who made the video did all the voices!)
Blue Sky - A fantastic Portal fanfiction (it's actually the longest Portal fic in existence too).  Fans are also working on a full-cast audio reading of the fic, too (and the guy who made the "This is Aperture" video is actually doing the voice of Wheatley in it).

Myst V is arriving Friday on Steam. Official press release here.

As a Mysteriac, this is good news to hear.

Also, another game I discovered on Steam recently is Blocks that Matter. It's an indie game featuring elements of Minecraft and Tetris, and features their creators, Markus and Alexey, in the game. You play a robot as you seek to locate and rescue them both, traveling blocky worlds, placing blocks in the shape of Tetris blocks. And slimes. There's slimes too.

Blocks That Matter is a great game. I love how it combines elements of Tetris, Minecraft, and Boulderdash together into one awesome package. ^_^
