Thought this idea up earlier, based loosely on the common university game "Assassin". How it works is very simple. After everybody's signed up and the game starts, I'll give each of you the name of another member involved in the game. To tag them out, you have to make a post on the forum immediately following one of theirs, in the topic they posted in. (The post you tag must have been made after the game started. Posts made before the game started don't count towards tagging somebody.) Then, send me a message confirming your tag; I'll check the posts, and if it's valid, I'll notify the eliminated player that they were hit. Once someone has been tagged three times, they're out of the game, and you'll get to chase their target.

Now, here's the thing: your post has to comply with the other rules of the forum. No off-topic jabber in a Redwall discussion topic. If the topic is a serious discussion, you had better say something relevant and insightful to the topic at hand. If your post isn't deemed to be high-quality enough, then it doesn't count for the tag. I'll be the judge of that, but suffice it to say that one-line or two-line responses, or quotes taken from Wikipedia articles, will most likely not get you anywhere in this game. In the Cellars or Forum Games, the standard isn't so high; you can post as you would normally do.

"Turtling" (not posting to avoid being tagged) is not encouraged. If you don't post at least once a day, the person looking for you can call your inactivity on the second day and get you eliminated automatically.

The game ends when there's only two players remaining. The player of those two who has made the most posts over the course of the game wins.

Rainshadow

If you're interested in my art or keeping in touch, I'm active on DeviantArt and Instagram!

Skyblade

This sounds interesting. I will too.

Thanks, MatthiasMan, for the avatar!

Delthion

Dreams, dreams are untapped and writhing. How much more real are dreams than that paltry existence which we now call reality? How shall we ascend to that which humanity is destined? By mastering the dreamworld of course. That is how, my pupils, that is how.

I'm in, and I tag Del. ;D just kidding.

"Understood." Will looked at Nico. "Will you be my buddy?"
"You're a dork," Nico announced.

It's past 8:20, and I've sent everybody their messages. Let the games begin! Remember, a tag doesn't count unless it's reported and I've verified it; don't expect me to look through every post y'all make to see if anybody's out. ;)

Mhera

Do posts in games such as "Girls vs. Guys" and "Guessing Game" count?

James Gryphon

#11
Rules do seem to indicate that. As long as it's after the beginning of the game (which is the post I made, "Let the games begin", and it's a good post (given the requirements of that forum), it counts. You gotta be careful.

I'll go ahead and play.
I want the world of Tolkien,
The message of Lewis;
The adventure of Jacques,
And the heart of Milne.
But I want the originality of me.

James Gryphon

The game has started, but I'll put you on the signup list for next round. At the rate this is going, this one won't be too long -- some weaknesses in my rules have become very, very apparent. You'll probably get to play by Wednesday.
