With Ranguvar we know she was probably the best squrriel warrior in Redwall. I respect that. What I thought was overated was the fact that she was able to be struck with a whip two times without even being hurt. Then we regard her as a great warrior when we only hear her kill one beast.

That's why I don't quite like her. She had TWO whips broken over her back without making a sound. I have only one thing to say to that:

Sorry, that was over the top.

In defense of my favorite character of all time: Plugg, she DID get hurt. She was just too stubborn to let it show. Notice how her back was cut and bleeding. And Tiria, I think she did grunt slightly when the whips were broken. I'm sure she made at least SOME sound. Remember, it only shows Bullflay trying to flog her ONCE. Then, a FULL DAY LATER, then Bullflay goes up to Vilu Daskar and complains about the broken whips. We never actually see him breaking the whips over her back, he just tells Vilu about it. I'm sure she got hurt and cut, and she must have made at least a little noise. No one, no matter how strong, can go through a beating that horrible without making a single sound of pain.

But she is still not a real warrior. She doesn't have any proper strategy, just getting boiling mad and rushing into battle. She would be stuck in a battle against real warriors. And as far as we know, she only killed one beast, like Plugg said. Still, she's better than Felldoh... And the book doesn't say she grunted, as far as I know. I'll have to reread The Legend of Luke.

I finished Legend of Luke recently, it was the last book I had to read. What I remember it saying is that Bulltip(whatever his name was) hit her across the back twice. I remember it saying that she just looked at him silently. Not a grunt in sight.
