The server isn't letting me on, it says "Sorry! I'm still on 1.7.9."

Suggestions?

You need to switch your version. Start up a new minecraft, then go to edit profile. Once their, go down to use version, and select 1.7.9. Save it, then start up your game then connect.

I'd like to play on the server and explore the different builds, but I'm not much into RPing. Can I leave the RP character part out of the application and just fill in the first part of it?
