Skyblade

Cupid pairing him/herself with someone would be rather... foolish in my opinion ;D

I know this seems like a bad situation right now... though we honestly don't know. I am truly doing my best, and for a completely inexperienced player, I'm not doing too badly, right?

People Left:
1. Sky
2. Eul
3. Gonff
4. Soren
5. Rus

5 people still alive. At least 1 Mafia remaining, possibly even 2. But seriously, if we have 2 Mafia left, we are in an especially perilous position. We really have to be careful. We don't even know if our Detective and Medic are still alive... I seriously hope they are.

Anyway, if one more person is killed tonight, we're down to 4. We REALLY need to be more serious with who we vote out for the following Day stage.

Eulaliaaa!

Oh wow, this is getting even more stressful. And I think you're doing pretty well, Sky. Better than me, this is my first time playing this game  :P
Just pretend there is something interesting and unique written here... I have nothing to say.

Thank you :) I do have some experience, actually, but I have much to learn. I hope people appreciate my effort.

You're doing rather well yourself.

Gonff the Mousethief

Man, this one was rough...

I still think we have all of the people. Rue and Eul are still my top picks. This all got real serious. Sky, I promise you I am not the mafia. I wasn't mentioned in this story, plus I tried getting Eul put. If I was mafia, I would have just gone and killed her.

I have a feeling I am next on the chopping block, so please be careful those of you with positions!
I want the world of Tolkien,
The message of Lewis;
The adventure of Jacques,
And the heart of Milne.
But I want the originality of me.

Skyblade

I don't really suspect Eul that much anymore, to be honest.

That is slightly reassuring, but I just want say again that there are no clues in the stories ;) They're just for fun.

Rusvul

Nice cutscene, Rain. Very ominous and well-written.

Skyblade

Why don't we have some discussion while we wait? Also, I might get killed tonight, and I want to say whatever I can to help the town before that happens.

Also, just to remind everyone again: stop using the stories for clues! ;D I know I already said this, but in other games, the players don't even get stories at all. It just says, for example, "Skyblade was killed by the Mafia. She was a town person." So, how do you decide who is Mafia? Use what people say in the thread, and stop trying to defend yourself or accuse others based on the stories.

A really good idea is to post a readlist: what you think about everyone playing, and whether you think they are Mafia or not. I have posted two in this thread, one after each night kill. I will make another when I gather my thoughts and encourage you all to do the same.

I can see why others would suspect me, honestly. A Mafia member might want to post a lot and stimulate discussion to look like an innocent townie. Banya pulled a similar trick in Round 1. However, I hope I am making it clear that I am actually trying to find who the Mafia is. Also, if I was Mafia, I probably wouldn't reveal my own strategy to fool you all into thinking I'm a citizen. Another point to consider:

Quote from: SkybladeMe - I seem suspicious, but as I said, I get into this game because I like it. It's cool. Also, here's a good point. Sage was the one and only person last round to accuse me. The next night, he's dead. Now, if I was the Mafia, I would be more thoughtful. I wouldn't kill the one person who voted to kill me: that's just too obvious.

I assure you that lynching me would be a mistake.

I hope you guys will join me and post in a civilized debate so we can kill the Mafia and win the game. There may be one; there may be two. Either way, we will go at them! I'm quite competitive, so I will do my best and fight until my last breath to find the scum and bring them to justice.

Thanks, MatthiasMan, for the avatar!

Søren

I might do that soon. I stopped discussing because it seemed everyone was getting a little carried away with the accusations. They were hurting others feelings, and I didn't want a part of it. But I'll work on that list

I'm retired from the forum

Skyblade

(I'll be using a very direct tone, so please don't take any offense)

So I asked people to join me and post and the only one who did so was Soren. Interesting.

Okay, for the last time. I'm looking back at Day 2 for any hints and I see Eul, Soren, Gonff, and Corny still using the story to defend themselves and accuse others. The only person still alive who was going by the posts was Rus. I hope you all know by now that the stories, fun and creative as they are, are practically useless in our actual investigation. If you want to accuse someone, look at their posts. If you want to defend yourself, reason it out without using the story. I think once we get it in all our heads that we need to use the posts and not the nonexistent story clues to find the Mafia, we'll have a far easier time.

You guys are good at this. I'm having a pretty hard time picking out the most suspicious people... and I would really like some discussion, if anyone is down for it.

Eulaliaaa!

I think in order to get the round moving is to start off by listing things from the story and trying to find clues there. Even though there are none, it gets other people posting. Then you can look for real clues there. Nobody's going to list the reasons as to why they're not Mafia on the first post, nobody has accused them.

Also, I was looking for clues in the story because this is my first time playing and I thought Rain had said there were very few clues, not no clues at all.
Just pretend there is something interesting and unique written here... I have nothing to say.

Gonff the Mousethief

That's what I was think to Eul. To add to it, even if she tried not to add clues, It's still hard trying to write and keeping identities secret without some hint of it.
I want the world of Tolkien,
The message of Lewis;
The adventure of Jacques,
And the heart of Milne.
But I want the originality of me.

Eulaliaaa!

Yeah, which is why I wouldn't want to be the gamemaker. I think it would be easier to just say Round 1 (Night) has ended with _____ Dead, instead of a story. But stories are fun to read  :P
Just pretend there is something interesting and unique written here... I have nothing to say.

Skyblade

I can see what you both mean. Well, we all have our own strategy, but I don't want to rely on the story too much.

What suspicions do you guys have? I'm honestly still working mine out. To me, you all almost seem the same. Some thoughts:

Eul is probably the most active after me. This could mean she's actually a Mafia-hunting Citizen or she's a villain trying to put suspicion on other people.
Søren has been relatively mild throughout the game, trying not to rock the boat.
Gonff too, has been pretty mild. Both Sor and Gonff are kind of posting in that mid range - not a lot but also not crazy little.
Rus has been somewhat hiding but has strong opinions. He went with Eul against Corny which is interesting.

Need some time to figure out for myself whether your actions make you more likely to be a goodie or a baddie.

Thanks, MatthiasMan, for the avatar!

Gonff the Mousethief

One reason why the story is my first pick is because in any mystery, the actions and surroundings give clues. Since my mind is always set in that mode, it's hard for me not to look for clues.

Yeah, Eul is still my pick as well.
I want the world of Tolkien,
The message of Lewis;
The adventure of Jacques,
And the heart of Milne.
But I want the originality of me.

Since I might get killed Night 3, I want to do everything I can before Rain comes back.

Rus is looking pretty suspicious. He is my top suspect. I’m not sure I like how he and Eul hardcore went at Corn in Day 2. That’s not necessarily bad, but we need to consider every player and not just focus on one. He hasn’t posted that much, and now that I look back, he was pretty much echoing Eul in the Corny argument.

It’s too bad we don’t know Corny’s alignment. But honestly, I didn’t think she was Mafia. The only reason I changed my vote is that Eul said something in one post that made me feel paranoid.

To me, Corny sounded like an indignant Citizen who was being mis-lynched.  And if that’s the case, I wouldn’t be surprised to find Mafia behind it.

Another thing about Rus: the last post he made was a one-liner commenting on the story. Hmm, the rest of us are here trying to find the Mafia (or at least, you guys are putting on a good act), and he’s taking the back seat.

He hasn’t posted anything since I suggested that we discuss, although he has been active on the forums. He could be trying to hide, or maybe he doesn’t care. Citizens should care about finding Mafia. There’s no other way we’ll win this game.

If it’s not already lost, that is.
