"The power of darkness is mine. At last I am free to reign destruction as I please. This world will be consumed, and you will be crushed. I am Mozaru, Lord of Night and Shadow." -Excerpt from The Chronicles of Light and Darkness. (A book I'm writing.)

Just a tomgue-sticking0out smiley face.:P. Just, :P. That's my signature, because I couldn't think of anything else. Although, I found something. I'll have to change it after this post....

Actually, words CAN hurt.

Morgazath

I've never heard of The Bartimaeus Trilogy. But I like the signature. And actually, words used to hurt me, but not anymore.

I love that series so much, don't remember the quote though. Have you read Ptolemy's Gate?
"In the meantime, no one should roam the camp alone. Use the buddy system."
"Understood." Will looked at Nico. "Will you be my buddy?"
"You're a dork," Nico announced.

Not bad,m not good.

Sadly, no. The library doesn't have it. But I've read the other two! I think The Golem's Eye is my favorite, though.

Jetthebinturong

I don't mind admitting that the ending to Ptolemy's Gate is the first time a book ever brought me remotely close to tears, the second was only recently with City of Glass

That is a very good quote

As before, not bad, not good.

You know what, I think I'll see if I can request it next I go to the library.

Morgazath

I still haven't read the books.

I'm it, Mor. And they're by Jonathan Stroud.

  What's The Bartimaeus Trilogy?

(YES THIS IS THE END!)

The Bartimaeus Trilogy is about a Guy, Nathaniel (Or John Mandrake.), and a djinni Bartimaeus. Oh, yeah, and in the second book, there's this girl called Kitty, too. It's in London, and there's a strong center of magic. You know the type - Djinni, and spells such as Detonations, Infernos, and the like.

Jetthebinturong

Corn, that says very little about what the stories are about

The Bartimaeus trilogy is about the wisecracking djinni Bartimaeus of Uruk (Also known as Sakhr al-Jinni, N'gorso the Mighty and the Serpent of the Silver Plumes) and his slavery to the magician John Mandrake or Nathaniel Nolastname, John's rise to power in the British government, a conspiracy AGAINST the British government and a small, rag-tag group of people who are not magicians who have a certain resistance to magic who are trying to take down, you guessed it, the British government, they call themselves the Resistance. Along the way, unlikely friendships are formed, plot twists are revealed and London is nearly destroyed at least twice, possibly three times. And Bartimaeus is witness to this all, all while attempting to fight the system in a really small way (being a smart alec)

Wait, djinni?  Like a djinn?  So, the whole "You rubbed my bottle (or whatever) and now I'm your slave for the rest of eternity" thing?

Lol, the only Vaati I remember is the one from Link's Four Sword Adventures, where he was a large (and rather hideous) black bat thing.  :P

Pretty much, djinn is plural, a single djinn is a djinni

This version of Vaati is from the prequel to that, The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap

Yes it is Rain, accept it
