Nomic: A Brief Introduction

Nomic is a game wherein (almost) all rules of the game are subject to change. All rules fall into three categories: mutable, immutable, and super-immutable (changeable, not changeable, and never changeable). Immutable rules may become mutable through 'transmutation' of the rule. All mutable rules may be modified or removed, but Immutable rules take precedence over mutable ones. Super-immutable rules take top precedence and may never be changed...ever.

Rule changes may be one of the following:
-an addition of a new mutable rule
-an amendment of a mutable rule
-repealing a mutable rule
-transmutation of a rule from mutable to immutable
-transmutation of a rule from immutable to mutable
-transmutation of a rule from immutable to super-immutable

This variation of the game I'm starting follows these rules:
-a round begins on the start date stated in the first post
-anyone may join before the start date
-the start date may be changed at any time by a majority vote of all participating players
-a majority vote is successful if the number of players, divided by 2 (rounded up), plus 1 agree on the change
-the minimum number of players required for a vote to occur is 3
-a player may leave the game at any time, but must state that they are leaving
-immutable rules are to be listed in italics
-super-immutable rules are to be listed in bold
-rule changes are approved by a majority vote
-the first person to 100 points wins
-points are awarded for successful rule changes to the person who suggested the rule change
-the number of points awarded for a successful rule change is equal to the number of people who voted for the rule change
-play goes in any order, but each rule change suggestion must be voted on before another one can be made
-double posting is not allowed
-all rules are mutable, immutable, or super immutable
-all rules are subject to change by a majority vote
-this starting list of rules is not exempt from change
-when a winner is declared, all rules are repealed, and this starting post is used to create a new topic, with a new game and new players there
-if any dispute over a rule occurs, it will be decided by a majority vote

This could be a lot of fun for you to try and outwit my rules. If you think you can be more clever than I, or simply want a challenge, I recommend you play. I got the main concept for my rules from the Wikipedia article on Nomic, but I made some modifications here and there to suit the gameplay for a forum. Now remember, unless a rule is in bold, it may be changed. Could you be the winner of Nomic? Try your hand at it, and you may be surprised at what you find.

Starting date: Wednesday, July 29th 2015

Footnote: I added the concept of super-immutable rules to maintain "order" within the game. You'll note that the only to rules in bold relate to styles for the rules within the game. I want everything to be easy to see without having styles be interfered with. Now everyone is welcome to try and make other super-immutable rules, but Those two are the only ones I have intended to be so. Have fun making up the game as you play, and don't worry about the rules (except when you're making them).

rrrrr

This seems cool :)

I amend the starting date to July 22, 2015.

Sounds cool! I'm confused, honestly, but why not? I can't guarantee I'll be good, though ;)

You need at least 3 people to trigger a vote.

Oh, ok. July 22 is too early, anyway.
