Mafia 3.5, Round 1 (Night)

 Everyone sat around, watching tv, playing card games, and talking. It was fun to finally get together and talk in real life, and people were constantly laughing. The night seemed to stretch on forever, no one suspecting a thing. Soren was listening to music and playing chess with Sage, Del and Sam seemed to be performing a small comedy skit (honestly, no one really knew what they were talking about and weren't really paying attention, but they all found it amusing), Corn was telling Rock and Gonff about a cool bird she had seen earlier in the day, and rrrr was trying to get Sand to mess up Soren and Sage's game of Chess.
 After a while, Rock stood up, "I'm going to explore the forest, anybody want to come with me?" He asked.
 Sand looked up, "At night? Can't you wait till tomorrow, that's what I'm doing."
 Rock shook his head, "Nah, I'm gonna go tonight."
 Del shrugged, "Well, if you get eaten by a bear I won't come find you!" He laughed.
 Corn looked concerned, "It could be really dangerous out there.... remember what Eul said?"
 Soren nodded, "Yeah, there are wild animals out there. You should wait, Rock."
 Rock laughed as he walked out the door, "I won't go far."
 Afterwards, nobody noticed the two figures that left the house and took off after him.

 Rock whistled slightly, looking back to make sure the house was still in view. This was cool, what made them think he was gonna get attacked by an animal? The bushes to his left rustled, and he glanced in the direction the noise had come. Someone grabbed him from behind.

 "Don't say a word, Rock. Be quiet," someone whispered in his ear. He struggled against them, but they were stronger.

 "Yeah, we don't want them to hear you scream," said someone else. They both stepped into view, and Rock's eyes widened as he saw who they were.

 "What? What are you-" one of them lunged forward, covering his mouth and whispering into his ear, "Hush, little Rock. The Mafia are here. Be a good boy now and die silently, we wouldn't want you giving us away!"

 Rock struggled as they ductaped his mouth and arms, he tried yelling for help. He screamed as one of them broke his leg, throwing him to the ground and stepping away, "Stay there, Rock. The animals will do the rest for us," it cackled.

 The other one laughed, "Hah, he won't be going anywhere anytime soon!" The two figures walked away, leaving Rock in agony and terror, alone in the forest to be eaten by an animal.


 Everyone had fallen asleep, waiting for someone who would never return to them. Sand was the first to wake, slowly getting up and looking around. He hadn't noticed if Rock had returned during the night, and he shook Del's shoulder to wake him up, "Hey, Del, did you notice if Rock came back last night?"

 Del sat up, rubbing sleep from his eyes, "Wha.... uh, mmmmm.... what? Oh, Rock? No, I didn't notice." He yawned, stumbling to his feet.

 Soren slowly shuffled into the kitchen, where several others where gatherer, "Is Rock back?" He asked, plopping down in one of the chairs.

 Corn shook her head, "No, I haven't seen him.... we told him not to go! We told him it was dangerous, why didn't he listen?" She demanded, burying her face in her hands and focusing on breathing.

 Gonff took a sip of coffee, "I'm sure he's fine, he probably got lost. Let's go look for him."

 Rrrr nodded, "Yeah, that's a good idea." He said.

 The group took off, wandering through the forest and calling his name. Suddenly, and ear-piercing scream sounded out, and everyone found Corn staring at Rock's mutilated body. Shocked, several of them broke down crying, and several stood in a stunned silence.

 Sage hesitated, "What....." was all he could say.

 Sand stepped forward, taking a note from Rock's cold hand, "Guys..." He whispered, "Look at this."

 Everybody was shocked, looking at each other with distrust. They buried Rock, then hiked back to the cabin. Immediately Rrrr went for the phone, "We have to call the police. We have to... what the heck? It's not working.... it's not working!" He cried.

 Someone had cut the wire, breaking the phone.

 Soren pulled out his phone, "Let me call someone. Darn! It's not working!" He shouted.

 Sam shoved Rrrr out of the way, "What do you mean? It has to work!" He yelled. Still, the phone was broken beyond repair.

 Sand turned to everybody, "Who did this?" He demanded.

 Corn began to cry, "This was supposed to be fun.... why isn't Eul back already? And she took the only car!"

 Sage glanced up at everyone, "We can't leave?" He asked. After looking at all the blank faces looking back at him, he shook his head, "You know what that means..... we have to take a vote."

Mafia Round 1 (Night) has ended with Rocktree killed by Mafia. Round 2 (Day) has begun!

Oh man Cap'n, out again! Well, at least you aren't drinking coffee . Great story Eul, very creative! Now, we just need to find the Mafia. Are there any clues in this one?

 Sage glanced up at everyone, "We can't leave?" He asked. After looking at all the blank faces looking back at him, he shook his head, "You know what that means..... we have to take a vote."

Maybe this means that Sage is eager to get people out of the group - perhaps a clue. On my "whole-suspect list".

Immediately Rrrr went for the phone, "We have to call the police. We have to... what the heck? It's not working.... it's not working!" He cried.

If I were not me, I would think this is really fake, and I would accuse myself, but I am me, so I am not going to accuse myself.

Del sat up, rubbing sleep from his eyes, "Wha.... uh, mmmmm.... what? Oh, Rock? No, I didn't notice." He yawned, stumbling to his feet.

Too big a denial, looks pretty fake to me. On my "whole-suspect" list.

Sam shoved Rrrr out of the way, "What do you mean? It has to work!" He yelled. Still, the phone was broken beyond repair.

"What do you mean" is often a phrase stated by people who are not of good intent, in a lot of literature. He's on my "half-suspect" list.

Therefore, I vote Sage. It was a hard decision between him and Del.
