Rapshade kidnapped Mixy and Bracklew and (secondhandedly) killed Brandon and Creekpaw.
The Redwallers don't know this.
Besides that, maybe just read everybeast's forums to get a little overview on all the characters. :)
(Ex. Rapshade's illness, Mixy's mother, etc...)
