Should the vermin meet the Redwallers?

Yeah!!
Not yet...When we're further into the roleplay. c:

Groddil

One-Ear unsheathed the katana and vanished into the shrubbery.
"I'll go make sure it's unguarded."

Ashleg

Groddil

Redfang rolled out of his bed and hit the floor. He woke with a start and brandished the axe. Growling, he emerged onto the deck and looked around.

********

One-Ear snarled.
"It WAS. Now that stoat's on deck."
One-Ear shuffled out of the bushes, towards the ship.
"Looks like he's the only one."
The fox picked up a pebble from the riverbank and threw it. It clattered on the deck.

********

Redfang jumped.
"Who's throwin' rocks? Whoever it is, stop or I'll come over there an' remove yer head with me Chopper!"

********

One-Ear giggled and threw another pebble. The stoat swore and disembarked the ship. He trotted along the riverbank towards them.
"Uh oh!"
One-Ear grabbed Mixy and dived back into the bushes.

Ashleg

Mixy quickly opened her satchel and took out her dagger.
She was pumped full of adrenaline and became more adventurous about their situation every time the stoat took a step closer. "Oho, this is getting exciting! Watch this, he'll think we're over there."
She picked up a heavy rock in her paw and calculated the distance between a nearby tree and Redfang.
Sticking her tongue out, the haremaid glanced out of the bushes and tossed the rock at the tree. And...Yes! It reflected off it and came hurtling at the stoat.

Groddil

Redfang ducked. He raised the axe and ran towards the tree where the rock had hit.

*******

One-Ear whispered to Mixy and Bracklew.
"Go. Get aboard the ship. The stoat's mine!"

Ashleg

"Alright, and I wish you luck with...That. Come on, Bracklew!"
Mixy ran as lightly as she could through the grass and up the gangplank of the ship.
Once she was up there, she dove behind some shaded barrels and waited for Bracklew.

LT Sandpaw

"Impressive," Bracklew whispered as Mixy bounced the rock off the tree. Nodding to One-ear the squirrel took off staying low, and directly behind Mixy. Crouching low he shuffled into Mixy's hiding spot, heart beating wildly.
"We're in." He gasped quietly, "Now how are we going to mix the berries in with the ferret's dinner?"

Ashleg

"Let's just wait and see if somebeast--Ah, there he is!" Mixy hissed, yanking her ears down so they wouldn't stick up from behind the barrel.
She peeked out of a crack in the wood to watch.

Two vermin approached the ferret: a vixen and that malnourished looking rat from before.
"Fang, I thought I told you to stop following me!" Vadoma growled.
Fangfang grinned sheepishly and ran off in the other direction.
Vadoma frowned as she watched him go and then turned back to Rapshade, tail lashing.
"Anyway, Rapshade, Captain, I left your..." She lowered her voice to a whisper, "Uh, medicine, on the nightstand in your room."

Mixy glanced at Bracklew.
"Even better. We'll sneak into his room and put the berries in his medicine...Hmm, that's odd. I wonder, is he sick? He doesn't look sick t' me, wot."

Groddil

One-Ear emerged from the shadows, katana in paw. His hackles bristled and he bared his teeth at Redfang. The stoat gave a mocking laugh.
"Well, if it isn't the brat fox, come to avenge his poor old daddy. Even gonna do it with his daddy's weird sword. *Sniff!* It brings a tear to my eye."
He whipped the axe from his belt, whirled around, and threw Chopper at One-Ear's neck. The fox expertly sidestepped, and the axe thudded into a nearby tree. One-Ear stabbed the katana into the ground.
"Get your axe, stoat. I won't kill a beast who's been disarmed, not even you."
Redfang crossed his arms.
"No thanks, I'll be leaving now."
One-Ear smacked the stoat on the side of the head with the flat of his blade. He retrieved the axe from the tree and threw it at Redfang's feet.
"Pick it up, stoat!"

Jetfur heard the commotion and came out next to Redfang. "Wot's goin' on, mate?"

Fang ran back up to them.
"But Vadoma, mam, Cap'n said--"
The vixen curled her lip and smacked him over the ears. "Oh, he did, did he? I doubt he wants me to waste our supplies on you. Rapshade, Sir, you didn't tell Fangfang I would treat him, right?"
Rapshade sneered and reached for his blade. "I did, and that's what I want ye to do. Now take him and go do it already!"

Groddil

OOC: Ahh, Sagetip you ruined the moment!

BIC: One-Ear saw Jetfur and panicked. He pulled the katana from the ground and dived into the bushes. Redfang whirled around to face Jetfur.
"Go back to the ship. This one's mine."
He grabbed the axe, pulled an evil grin and jumped in after One-Ear.

Vadoma roughly nudged the rat in the direction of where she kept all her supplies.
Rapshade turned to head to his room, but quickly noticed that Jetfur was no longer where he'd previously been. He hadn't heard not seen the rat leave.
Perhaps he was getting too paranoid with the ghost thing, but he felt like he was being watched even though he was alone now.
"Ha! Some ghost Fang was. The real ghost was Jetfur and he was putting the blame on Fangfang so it would seem like he wasn't a ghost, but I'm no fool. I'll get him yet."
A searat whom was passing by stopped and glanced at the ferret.

"You talkin' te yerself, Cap'n?"

Rapshade yelped and fled to his room.

Jetfur watched Redfang go. Shrugging, he went down to the slave quarters. He was bored, what with all this anchoring. No job for him to do. Maybe he'd go talk to Saltooth... nah, he needed some time alone for now. Maybe later.
