Should the vermin meet the Redwallers?

Yeah!!
Not yet...When we're further into the roleplay. c:

"'E's chained nose to footpaw, Saltooth." Jetfur jangled his keys. "An' only one key unlocks it. Jes' ease up." The Slavemaster put the keyring back on his belt.

Rapshade stepped out on deck, looking better than he had before but still not quite right. Not healthy.
The ferret approached Jetfur and Saltooth and smirked at them, gazing about with his wild eyes.
"Stow the chit-chat. I've decided we attack Redwall Abbey today. I was thinking we go soon, too, so gather yer mates an' bring them up front an' center...And I'm not jus' being compulsive, I know we can win this."

Hickory

Jetfur nodded slowly. "Aye, Cap'n. I should go an' make sure none of the slaves could escape while we're gone." The rat headed back down into the slavedeck.

OOC: Well this is a stroke of luck isn't it? Three of the warrior are leaving the Abbey.

BOC: One-Ear smiled slightly when Skipper agreed to join the search party. He passed the otter one of the haversacks, shouldered his own, and set off towards the gates. He called over his shoulder.
"I'll lead the way, seein' as how I was just at the ship yesterday. We're gonna find 'em if we have to go through every last pirate to do it, eh mates?"

Mortembell placed her paws gingerly under Muddle's head and, together with Rayne, carried him to the Infirmary. They place him on a bed while the vixen searched cupboards for a chain. Success! They must have had to chain somebeast up before. She slipped the heavy chain around both the hedgehog's footpaws and locked it. Dusting off her paws, she turned to Rayne.
"I'll stay here and watch him if you want, you look like you could use a rest.

"The right to know..." Murmured Bracklew his paws trembled, and the words stuck in his throat, but he forced them out all the same. "T-thank you, Fang isn't it. Thank you for telling me. So who did it? I was blurry when I saw it happen, who landed the blow that killed her?"

"Aye Cap'n, right away." Saltooth stalled as he turned to head off for the crew's quarters. Rapshade looked shaken, almost delirious, while he himself had never felt better. The steersrat smirked, in his mind it was only a matter of time before Rapshade was dead and the crew were heading back to the ocean. The ocean they should never had left, perhaps with Saltooth as they're captain. And what better place to commit a murder then in the middle of a battle.

"Feel better soon, Cap'n." Saltooth whispered so Rapshade couldn't hear as he stalked away, "I'll make ye feel much better, once th' pain O' me dagger fades."

"My thanks Mortembell, I feel as if I could sleep for a week. And I need my rest to. With Skipper, Logalog, Duncan, and you're son heading out to face pirates its more then likely they get wounded." Rayne stretched yawning. "There's tranquilizer in the small blue jar in the cabinet for when he wake up. Use small amounts or you'll poison him. G'night, or good morning or whatever it is." Rayne stumbled off towards her dormitory rubbing her eyes.

Skipper shrugged the haversack on adjusting the straps so they fit his back. Nodding to Duncan, the otter motioned towards the leaving fox. "I say mate, get a move on or we'll be left behind. There's weapons a'plenty stored in th' gatehouse, we'll grab em on th' way out."

The clinking of keys announced Jetfur's arrival in the slavedeck. "Fang, mate, you still talkin'?" Without waiting for a response the rat continued down the corridor, ignoring the slaves' fitful slumbers. He didn't plan to go to any extra measures to keep them from escaping. They new what had happened to the rabbit and squirrel. One dead, one captured - the slavemaster felt comfortable leaving them as they were.

Mortembell trotted to the Infirmary door and called after Rayne.
"How much is a small amount? Just a pinch, or a spoonful? I don't what to do what he tried to do!"

One-Ear stopped at the gatehouse and pushed open the door.
"There's slings and dagger belts in the packs already, but no big weapons if ye wanted 'em. Swords, javelins, bows, etcetera. I'm all set."
The fox looked a fearsome sight, crossbow around his neck, belt of daggers strapped across his chest like a bandolier, katana sheathed at his side, and scarred aplenty with a bloody bandage around his waist.

"You're welcome." Fang hesitated.
"Don't tell anybeast I told you...I-it...It was Rapshade." His heart lurched when he heard Jetfur approaching.
The rat yelped and stumbled backwards. "Okay, sorry t' talk an' run but I have to go now!"

--

"Yes, One-Ear. I'll do anything to get my daughter back." Duncan confirmed, nodding sharply.
"Wait, Skip. First let's go down to the kitchens and see if there's any vittles left unpoisoned, wot? We never know how long this may take."

--

"Of course." Rapshade smirked, calling after Jetfur, "Whip the squirrel, will ye? The more injured he is, the less of a chance he'll pull off that same stunt! To add insult to injury, tell him it was me who sent you...hah." He turned to Saltooth, "Aye, and hurry it, will you?"

OOC: WAS Redfang. Earlier on, One-Ear killed him earlier but got stabbed in the gut, that explains the bandage. It's on page 39.

BIC: One-Ear patted the haversack.
"The packs are full of vittles as well. I got the things that were only brought in this morning, after they served breakfast. Besides, we can find food in the woods, and I doubt Muddle would have poisoned that as well!
The fox waited for Duncan and Skipper to arm themselves.

OOC-
Who is it now? o-o

Fang nodded dumbly and fled the room, nearly crashing smack into Rapshade, who gasped and leapt out of the way. The rat went sprawling on the ground. "What are you doing?!" Rapshade snapped.
Fangfang grinned sheepishly as he stood up. "Sorry Cap'n...I, uh...Sorry!"

--

Duncan shrugged and shouldered his pack.
"Then I'm all set with what we have. Skippy, you ready?"

Hickory

OOC: De you mind getting Jetfur and One-ear into a fight later on? I want to kill off Jetfur at the end, fitting to a redwall story, and I think One-ear is that means to this end.

OOC: Things got a bit confused there, and our characters are talking to each other from different places.

BIC:

"Th' fox has seen to that already mate." Skipper gestured at the pack on his back. "Got mor'n enough in here to feed an army. An' if I know anything about the Long Patrol they train ye hares to live off th' land. Les' go." Skipper followed One-ear into the gatehouse selecting a sling and a pebble sack for himself.

"All I need mate, I'm set."

"A spoonful will do it, there's spoons in the left side cabinet by the door." Rayne called out before slogging into her bedchambers.

Claws digging into the oar slots Bracklew nodded his silent assurances and thanks to Fang. His face screwed up as he cursed the pirate captain in his head. Rapshade must not have drunk the poison.

"I will kill that ferret, even if I die trying. For Mixy." Bracklew swore to himself looking longingly out the oar port. Now all he needed to do was escape the chains. The only question was how.

~*~*~*~*~

Saltooth's raised voice roused the crew who trotted out on deck rubbing sleep from their eyes. Saltooth followed them out, his paw resting on the magnificent sword of Martin. Whatever came, he was sure it things were about to get better.

OOC-
Yes to both of those. XD
IC-
"They do, but... You know me. Food is my closest friend," Duncan joked, waiting for One-Ear to lead the way.
"Plus, I haven't been in the Long Patrol for seasons."

--

"Everything alright, Cap'n?" Fang asked.
Rapshade reluctantly swallowed some blood that threatened to start another round of coughing. "...Yes. We're attacking Redwall and yer staying here with Vadoma and some others."
"Let me come, Cap'n, I can 'elp," the rat insisted, yowling and ducking when the ferret took a swing at his head.
Rapshade's paws trembled as he raised his voice. "Shut up, idiot, you don't need t' fight and yer not leaving here as long as I can help it! Get going!"
