I guess it's kind of like a "Liger", which it's a mix between a Lion and a Tiger, except, the mix is between a Ferret and Weasel.  That makes sense, since Liger's can't reproduce, due to a abnormality, (Them being a mix between a Lion and a Tiger) and Razzid never had a wife or children that we know of.  Also, like Lions and Tigers, the Weasel and the Ferret are closely related, and they belong to the same genus, Mustelidae.

But wouldn't a Weasel and a Ferret be a Wearret, not a Wearat?

In some parts of redwall it's Wearat but most of the time it's Wearet

True, but,

and in The Rogue Crew, it said Razzid was a wearat, which doesn't exist. Wearets are possible, though

Tam and Martin

I don't know about that. Maybe it's Weasel and Rat For Razzid?

Perhaps. That does make a whole lot more sense

It would, but Weasels and Rats don't belong to the same genus, which means they can't reproduce together.

made sense since it could have been "weasel" because he was a weasel/ ferret mix and "rat" because it starts with the same two letters as Razzid, so a combination of that would be "wear at".

EDIT: I at first thought he meant "Weasel; and then 'rat' for 'Razzid", but while I was typing that ^, I realized he meant "Weasel and rat for Razzid" meaning that he thinks Razzid was a cross between a weasel and a rat (which doesn't exist)

I think the Wearet and the Slothunog were both made from Mr. Jacques imagination.

Mattimeo - main character is annoying, villain is annoying, and the plot is not my cup of tea. Matthias is the only saving grace.

Outcast of Redwall is saved because of Sunflash and Skarlath, because otherwise the drama between Bryony and Veil just drives me mad.

I can not believe Loamhedge has 9 votes - I absolutely love that book.
My ears, how are you, wot!

Fair enough, to each their own.

High Rhulain for me. I get it was the beginning of Brian's experimentation to see what he could do with the series in the end. However, it leaves out a few things that you just come to expect from Redwall & the main character doesn't get involved in the action of the story until the final act. Not to say it doesn't have good characters or isn't fun, but it's the only one out of the series that I genuinely have trouble pushing through & finishing after the first read-through, or two.

Redwaller

Mattimeo has to be my least favourite.

I can't remember, though I have a feeling I didn't think too much of Eulalia! - seemed a bit generic? and Loamhedge and Triss may not have been so exciting. To be honest I really can't vote without reading them all again (might've already said that here, so sorry if I'm repeating myself!).
