Karaoke sounds fun. Where I live, the only time people do that is if they're either drunk, have a bad voice, or both. Usually both.

Yeah, it's the same where I used to live. There's a great karaoke culture in Japan, though. A lot of people take it really seriously. There's a huge drinking culture around it here too, but at least you can hire your own room and not have to worry about strangers hearing you sing. I went on Friday night for three hours, no one drank, and it was the best karaoke experience I've had.
