"Understood, Sah!" Snipper whispered, pressing himself against the wall.
He winked sneakily and turned to face Stripepaw.
"...Lookit 'im...Standin' there up to no good. Hehehee!"

QUOTE: Stripepaw rose from the chair. He roared at Cloverpaw.
"Vermin at my gates? Take me there now!"

Hickory

OOC: Oops, I meant Sundash. :p
OOC: LIOM.

BIC: Sundash was at the door quickly. "At the main gate, sah."
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul.

Groddil

Stripepaw followed Sundash out. From a corner several metres away, Marshalpaw cursed. He turned to Snipper.
"Doesn't look like we're gettin' out the main gate, buddy. Come on, let's find another way!"

Ashleg

Snipper chuckled quietly and tiptoed along behind Marshalpaw.
He halted and grinned up at the older hare suddenly.
"Can we go through one of the secret escape tunnels, mate? Pretty please?"

Groddil

Marshalpaw grinned.
"Why not? Come on, there's one in the wine cellar!"
The tall hare led the way deeper into the mountain.

*****

OOC: *Timeskip so that Stripepaw and Sundash are at the gate*

*****

BIC:
Stripepaw peered at the strange figure on the other side of the gate.
"Filthy corsair, what do you want, lurking at my gates?!"

Ashleg

Snipper bounded off after Marshalpaw, giving an excited little skip.
"Oh boy, wot, I've never been in the wine cellar let alone the hidden tunnel in the wine cellar! Is it really old?" He asked, eyes glimmering excitedly.

Groddil

Marshalpaw nudged open the cellar door.
"Some say its as old as the mountain itself, far before the time of Old Lord Brocktree. Still, nobody's left to tell us the truth."
The general pressed his shoulder to a large barrel and pushed it. The oaken container slid away from a large crack in the wall.
"This way."

Ashleg

"Ooh, I hope there's nothing dangerous hidin' in there... Like poisonous spiders!" Snipper followed along behind Marshalpaw, eyeing his surroundings with interest.
"...Or adders...Adders in the tunnels'd be scary, no? Hahahah..."

Groddil

"Adders, no I don't think so. There are tales that one of the tunnels had a crab infestation, but I don't think it was this one. A lot of them do have secret lakes, so who knows what creatures lurk in them?"
Marshalpaw strode boldly into the tunnel, spear at his side.

Ashleg

Snipper giggled wildly. "How about sharks in the lakes, have there ever been any sharks? Or pikes? Or...Or...eels? I hope we get t' fight a blinkin' great eel!"

Groddil

Marshalpaw shrugged.
"Who can tell? It's been many a season since the tunnels were used, there could be an entire vermin army lurkin' down there."

*****

Marshalpaw was closer to the truth than he would have liked to admit. Deep below the mountain, in a cavern where the tunnels met the sea, there was a small horde of strange ferrets. The largest rattled a bone sceptre chilling.
"Yessssss, brethren! The smells are carrrrried on the vinds! Hares, juicy and tenderrrrr! They approach us, ve vill eat vell tonight!"
The large ferret dropped the sceptre and took up a huge axepike. He selected a chosen few who followed him up the tunnels.
