Grant stood up.
"Aver, hit over the head with a pan? That's just awful! He's not dying, is he?" The mouse asked, scuffling over to Bracklew and Petu once One-Ear and Gukom were out of sight.
"He was trying to escape. Apparently One-Ear caught him outside..." The Abbot grumbled and slapped a paw to his forehead.
"Sometimes I just don't know..."

Glaring at One-ear's receding back Bracklew felt his temper rise slightly. Forcing himself to look back at the Abbot, Bracklew shook his head slowly.

"No, he's fine. And I guess everything else is too."

"He looks chipper sir, though Rayne says he'll have quite a lump on his head. Oh and he has a few cuts from glass that he fell on but they are not bad. A glass cup must have gotten pushed onto the ground during their scuffle." The rabbit Petu added cheerfully. "I'm sure the good fellow will be up and hungry once that feast gets started. Say, when is that supposed to begin anyway?"

Alone, Asher faced the great gates of Redwall. Eyes narrowed, he took a few steps back before running forward and making an almighty leap. Claws out, he clung to the stout wooden gates. Working quickly, he scaled the walls bare-pawed and swung over the battlements. Descended the stone stairs, he inspected the marks made by One-Ear, Grant, and the captured Rapshade. The black squirrel glanced up at the approach of One-Ear. "Hi, sir. I was just coming to report to you. Damien's captured, I left the rest of my team at the encampment. Muddle and that stoat from Rapshade's crew got away, though."

~O~

Brush saluted Charm. "Yeah, he's not goin' anywhere. No casualties on either side, marm. Harnam's out there keeping guard."

Charm nodded to the squirrels, and between the three of them they carried Roscoe out to where Damien was being held. The otter motioned to a hole in the ground with heavy wooden bars set above it. She kicked open the cage and shoved Roscoe in roughly.
"Chuck Damien in there with the weasel. One-Ear can deal with both of them when he gets here."
"No, please. I need help, my face...Uuuh."
Applelad and Harnam gripped the blind squirrel by the shoulders and threw him bodily into the pit. The squirrel landed heavily on top of Roscoe. Charm dumped a heavy rock on top of the wooden bars.
"Won't be escaping from there. Enjoy each other's company."

One-Ear shoved open the gates again in strode into the woodlands flanked by Asher and Gukom.
"Good. Shame Muddle got away, though. I would have rather you captured the hedgehog, but Damien still needs to be punished for what he did."

Hickory

The black squirrel snorted. "Huh, he's blinder than a bat. I was thinkin' about gettin' Muddle out so we c'n kill him, an' here's my plan: we bait him. The hedgehog's never gonna come out straight at us, so if'n we lie in wait for him to attack whomever we set out, then we can send some arrows through his skull. What do ye think?"
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul.

Groddil

"Who's blind? Damien? Figures. No matter, he deserves it. A few days in the hole and we'll hand him over to the Redwallers to do whatever they will with him. As for Muddle, how exactly do you plan on baiting him? Send someone out into the woodlands unarmed? Could work..."

Hickory

Asher shrugged. "Well, we'd need somebeast who could conceal a blade, look helpless, generally the picked-on type. I used to know a weasel who was like that, a thief, I dunno if'n he's in Mossflower any more."

OOC; Yes, he's talking about Roscoe.
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul.

Groddil

One-Ear grinned.
"As a matter of fact, I believe Charm has a weasel that sounds very familiar back at the Vigil..."

Hickory

"Really? Probably him, if he tried t'attack ye. I'm sure we'll both be glad to re-make acquaintances."

The squirrel leapt ahead, speeding towards the camp...

OOC-
Heehee! XD
He described Roscoe perfectly, but don't tell the weasel that! ;D
IC-
Roscoe grumbled and tried getting up.
"Gerroff, you great fat lump!" He snapped, wriggling out from underneath the squirrel. The weasel got back on his hind paws and dusted himself off, glowering around the cage.
"Why do they even 'ave this?" Putting on his best impression of Charm, which wasn't a good one, Roscoe strutted about the hole, calling out, '"Oh, I'm Charm, a beautiful otter with genius ideas! One of 'em was to dig a hole in the ground an' put all the creatures we kidnap inside it!"' Idiotic. Stupid. Otter!"

--

Grant broke a smile.
"You know, Petu, maybe we'd already be done preparing if the interruptions would cease! Want to help out?"

Groddil

"Shut up down there, fool!"
Charm turned to see Asher, One-Ear, and Gukom enter the camp.
"Welcome back, Sir. Asher, nice to see you. We put Damien and that weasel, name o' Roscoe, down in the pit. They're ready for you to deal with 'em."
The fox peered down into the gloom.
"Get the weasel out. Leave Damien in there for a bit."
Charm obliged, pulling Roscoe roughly from the pit.
"Okay, weasel. Do you know this squirrel?"

Ashleg

"Fool? Ha! Whatever yah say bounces off me an' sticks on youuuuu---aaaarrgh!"
Roscoe yelped and flailed his paws as he was yanked out of the pit. The weasel snorted indignantly and stuck his tongue out at Charm, elbowing her roughly in the side as he strode past her, cloak trailing out behind him like a flag.
"Gentle, will you?! Not everybeast 'as fur as nice as mine, so don't you go ruinin' it fer me."
He sneered and halted in front of Asher, scanning the squirrel up and down.
"Naw...Wait. I do know 'im! He was there when I broke into the h'Abbey an' stole a cake, then he went out to fight some Flitchaye or somethin'. Asher, isn't it?"

Hickory

The squirrel in question crossed his arms. "Aye, Asher. I should hope that ye remember me."

He turned to Charm. "Bind him tight. Where's his dagger? I'll be needing it."

OOC: So, unless you and/or Ashleg want otherwise, I was thinking that we waited a little bit before we did the trap thing.
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul.

Ashleg

OOC-
Yes, let's wait. Right now we *should* be focusing mainly on the feast rather than having action.
IC-
Roscoe snorted in amusement.
"Bind me? I'm not hurtin' anybeast by standin' here, am I? Oh, watch out fer the dangerous weasel, he'll slay ye with 'is eyes!" He grinned crookedly and laughed to himself.
"Come on, Charmy, there's no need t' bind me; I won't be going anywhere cause you guys are a bunch of meanies and would kill me if I did anything."

Hickory

Asher laughed. "Sorry, weasel, but you're not pulling that on me. Abbot Liam was far to lenient for you, maybe Grant would do a better job. At least he has an otter at the Abbey."

Reminiscing, the squirrel brought himself back down to earth. "Enough of that. Charm, don't lissen to 'im, I've seen 'im pull many a trick on decent beasts."

OOC: So are we just gonna focus back on the Abbey now?
