OOC: Foreleg, ya mean. Animals don't have arms. ;D

BIC:

Charm stepped back, narrowly avoiding the first slash.
"Dammit, keep fighting! COWARD!"
When Vadoma tried to stab the otter a second time; however, Charm found herself without enough room to back away. The squirrel who had handed her her javelin jumped in front of her, taking the blow.
"Don't... Let them... win."
He slumped to the floor. Charm growled, stabbing the javelin towards Vadoma.
"Don't bring a knife to a spearfight, fox. You can never get close enough to use it."
Using the javelin to keep Vadoma at bay, Charm contemplated throwing the axe. Surely it couldn't miss at this range...
The otter grinned. No... She had a better plan.

OOC-
Wot th' flip....
These are anthropomorphic animals, mate.
Matthias had arms just like Mickey Mouse would have arms...and I'm quite sure I've seen that word used in the books. :P ;)
IC-
Vadoma was putting all her focus and energy into parrying Charm's javelin.
As a seer, she had never really trained in combat, but she wasn't all that bad either.
"Step down, Otter!" The vixen sneered, flattening her ears threateningly.

Vaskor's eyes widened as the sword delved into his chest, breaking ribs and ripping vital organs. A terrible fear of death welled inside of him, but this was a foe he could not hide from, no matter his fur color. The strange ermine could only convulse, his body twitching involuntarily as he uttered his final words with one last breath. "No.... Die..."

Giving the adolescent squirrel a quick hug, Rayne opened the door wider, giving Bracklew ample space to charge back into the fray. "I'll lock it up after you, be safe Brack, promise me you'll be safe..."

"I ain't gonna let ye go less ye promise to surrender, whoa, don' do that!"
In time past Aver could have easily held the weasel up for a lengthy bit of time, but due to recent wounds and his previous exertion in the battle his arm gave, and he released Roscoe, raising his club intending to finish the purple eyed vermin.

"Goofy's foreleg"... ;)

"I'm sorry," murmured Duncan flatly, even though he knew Vaskor could no longer hear him.
He pulled his sword free and dusted some snow over Vaskor's body before running to find Benyo.
"How's it goin'?" The hare panted.

The shrew adjusted his sword. "Alright. Lots of th' vermin are either dead, or they ran off, or fled inside. You okay?"

Duncan nodded.
"Yes, I'm jolly good. Let's stop worryin' about me and go help the Vigil warriors still inside."

--

"Don't hit!" Roscoe fell on his back and threw his paws up to cover his face, letting out a wail.
"I wasn't tryin' ta kill you, it was a duel, that's all!"

Groddil

Charm panted.
"And why would I do that? Last time I checked, I intended on winning.
The otter stabbed the javelin down towards Vadoma's footpaw.

OOC: I'm just gonna PP the first few posts for the shock factor, then you can have sShadowmay come up with an undoubtedly ingenious plan to best Fardan.

BIC:

The arrowhead fell harmlessly to the ground, lopped off by the rapier. Fardan smiled, a cold smile, as he took a step back. With the open space, it became much easier to wield his sword, and he lightly jabbed it towards the vixen, testing her reflexes.

OOC-
By the way, when Vadoma's done with, don't go after  Alfhild. I've got her covered...
IC-
"I do not foresee that you win today!" said Vadoma, bringing her knife towards Charm's side.
Little did she notice the otter trying to attack her footpaw, so the javelin sank in and the fox let out an anguished howl.
"YAaaaaagh! What have you done?!" Her eyes gleamed. "You will die for that!"

Groddil

Charm swung her axe at Vadoma, cleaving the paw that held the dagger clean from her body, and sending the axe clattering to the ground. Ignoring Vadoma's scream, Charm punched the vixen squarely in the nose, sending her stumbling back. At least, as far back as the javelin would allow. The otter grabbed Vadoma's head and twisted roughly. A loud crack, and the vixen was silent. Charm released her hold on the vixen's limp form, causing her to flop lifelessly to the ground. Her soldiers, having managed to finally defeat their attackers, began to search for the captured Redwallers.

Shadomay screamed in pain as Fardan's rapier slashed across her arm. Backing up, the vixen unsheathed her sword and raised it to try and block the wildcat's attacks.

Grant was walking past a room of which the door hung slightly ajar, when all of the sudden he was grabbed by two dark paws and pulled inside.
The Abbot was too lost for words to scream as he gazed up into the cold eyes of the perpetrator.
It was Alfhild, at it again with her hostage schemes.

OOC: Could you have Rappy do something so Brack can notice him before he rejoins the fight outside? They could battle there in Cavern Hole I suppose.

IC:

Unsure of himself, Aver lowered his club giving the downed weasel a contemptuous glare. "Alright fine, but ye better keep yer 'ead down an don' try n' take up arms again, I won't be so merciful next time."

Listening at the door with Fangfang, Petu's sharp ears picked up the brief sounds of a scuffle happening down the hall. Clenching his captured sword, the rabbit turned to his rat companion summoning his courage. "Duncan would say to keep a stiff upper lip and be brave, and he'd say wot too. Somebeast could be in trouble down there and we ought to help them.

"I feel so useless hiding up here, while everyone else is fighting. C'mon, you could come too and provide back up for me." The rabbit held out what used to be Fastooth's dagger to Fangfang, holding the blade so that Fang could take the hilt.

Roscoe made to get up, remarking snidely, "It was all in fun, addlebrain."
He adjusted his cape and hat and gave Aver a snooty down-the-nose glare before spinning and heading towards the gate.
"Idjit!" He called behind him. "Can't stand those crazy riverdogs, nope!"

--

Fang wrung his paws together, sending Petu a very nervous blue-eyed glance.
"Er, Petu, Cap'n doesn't want me t' get killed. I mean..." He took he dagger but didn't make to move, not sure what to think.
Every time in the past that he had tried to fight, something awful had happened.
"What if it's Alfhild or th' big freaky bird?"

--

Rapshade watched Bracklew and tried to remain unseen as he inched towards the door, but at the last second he tripped over a broom and fell into the light.
"Dratted stupid--!"

Hickory

Fardan drew back from Shadowmay, a grin spreading across his face. "Better. But you will not survive this..." Narrowing his eyes, the wildcat circled around the fox like a bird of prey. Waiting for an opening.

Rayne and Bracklew spun around, spotting Rapshade and the culprit broom that tripped him. Locking onto the downed ferret Bracklew left off rejoining the battle outside, running across Cavern Hole his paws echoing throughout the near empty dining room.
"Rapshade," he growled drawing closer, and slowing to a trot. "You wont escape this time, there's nobeast here to save you from what you deserve!"

Ignoring Roscoe's insults, Aver stepped back into the fray, summoning several woodlanders to his side. Sending them on various missions the otter tried to contain the remaining vermin, and destroy what was left of their resistance.

He was about to rush to Shadowmay's aid against Fardan, when a piercing pain shot across his back and neck like hot brands. The otter squirmed trying to pull away as Grah pinned him to the ground, sinking her beak into his skull.

~*~*~*~*~*~

"It can't be the bird," Petu assured Fang, stepping out and tiptoeing down the hall. "She'd be outside fighting, and we'd smell her if she did come inside." He didn't make any comment about Alfhild, he hoped it wasn't her, he certainly was no match for the ferret warlord. Hopefully it was just some vermin warrior, hiding from the fight. If he saw it was two on one he'd most likely surrender without a fight, hopefully.

~*~*~*~*~*~

Sidestepping a shrew and running her through, Fastooth growled in satisfaction. He was surrounded by dead vermin and shrews a fair distance from the main battle. His squadron had been eradicated, but they held until the bitter end, leaving their commander alone, but alive.
Wrenching his broken spear from the shrew's body Fastooth threw it aside, knowing the fight was over. Exhaustion weighed at his limbs, and the thought of fighting even one more beast made the rat squirm in misery. This battle was lost, even now the remaining vermin were beginning to collapse, they'd fight on for some time, but Fastooth could see where this was going. Even the crows couldn't turn this around. Fastooth limped to the nearest wall gate, his leg bloodied from a gaping slash in his leg.

He'd survive, and he could care less if anybeast else lived or died.

As she stepped backwards, Shadomay found herself back-to-back with another fox, one currently engaged in battle with a squirrel. The vixen whirled around, plunging her sword through the fox's chest. The blade point sticking out of the front of the fox, Shadomay placed the fox between herself and Fardan and shoved him forward, lunging at Fardan with her human shield.
