Switching the half finished bottle out for a new fresh one Bracklew gave the infirmary one last look around making sure he hadn't forgotten anything. Walking over to the door he unjammed it sliding the chair out of the way. Deftly he peeked out into the hall to make sure the second floor passage was clear.

"Alright," He said in a loud whisper. "Stay close behind me, I know a back way out. If anybeast asks I'm escorting you to the latrines, hopefully they will just ignore the packs. We ought to be able to get out without anybeast noticing though, the east wall is usually abandoned in the morning. Come on." Exiting the infirmary Bracklew speed-walked across the floor to a back staircase. Stopping on the landing he turned waiting impatiently for Rapshade to catch up.

OOC: I'm heading off for the night. Feel free to PP Brack in leading Rappy out of the Abbey.

Mortembell quickly caught up to Asher, where the squirrel was kneeling next to a cave-in in the tunnel. The vixen peered through a gap, far too small for her to even consider crawling through.
"Good thing you found the way out. I'd hate to try and get through there...GUKOM! YOU IN THERE?"
A noise, almost silent, echoed through the hole. Mortembell nodded at Asher. After a few seconds, the hamster's head poked through the gap. He shimmied through the gap until half of his body was through it, then grunted.
"Hmm, I seem to be stuck. Although I CAN say that the exit doesn't seem to be that way."

Hickory

Asher drew his blade. "We can cut you out, this isn't solid rock after all. Stay still."

Groddil

Gukom managed to wriggle another few inches, freeing his paws.
"Okay, d-d-d-do it."
The hamster closed his eyes and cringed.

Hickory

"I'm not going to hurt you," said Asher, distracting the hamster by talking to him while he cut away at the pached dirt with the dirk.

Gukom nodded, then immediately winced and stopped moving. From behind him, the hamster heard a loud rumbling, almost like thunder. Dirt fell from the roof of the tunnel onto the hamster's head. Gukom sneezed.
"H-h-h-hurry up. I don't like the s-s-s-s-sound of that..."

Hickory

Asher pulled out dirt from around Gukom. "Wiggle a little bit, that should loosen up the rest."

Rapshade followed after Bracklew, taking his sweet time to get over there.
Bracklew nudged the door open and they snuck out into the snow.
"Hah. I think y' forgot about pawprints." Rapshade sneered.

Groddil

Gukom nodded nervously, shuffling further towards them. Another rumbling noise echoed through the tunnel once more, getting progressively louder. A massive crack shattered Gukom's eardrums as the hamster squealed and dived towards Asher. The group of creatures was thrown backwards as the tunnel's roof caved in where Gukom had been struggling. A strange grunting noise came from the other side of the debris.
"So, this is where you're hiding, Mortembell? Scampering through a tunnel like a rat? Be a good little deadbeast and sit there while I shift these rocks..."
A powerful scream split the air as the pile of debris shook, as if pummeled by an unrelenting force. Mortembell grabbed Gukom.
"Asher! Run!"

Hickory

And Asher ran. He stopped at the intersection. "Mortembell, go down the path that you took with Gukom, I'll lure him, whatever he is, into the blocked section. With any luck, he doesn't sniff out out!"

"I didn't forget anything." Bracklew lied irritated at not having considered the fact that they would leave paw prints. "I'll deal with them, you lead. Just get to the wicker-wall-gate." As they slunk across the snow covered lawns Bracklew used his bushy tail to wipe away the paw prints they left behind. Reaching the gate Bracklew used his claws to combed his tail fur scraping the rapidly melting snow from his brush.

"The things I do," He muttered slipping back the bolt and pushing the gate open. "C'mon lets go."

Mortembell shook her head.
"No time. He's been after us for years, he's not going to lose us now. Only way to get out of here is to go down your tunnel and dig up to the Abbey before he catches up to us. Take the hamster, I'll see if I can hold him off long enough for you to get topside. See you at the Abbey."
The vixen drew her blade and rummaged through her satchel. Grinning, she found the vial of poison Muddle had created last season, spreading it liberally over her sword. Mortembell thrust Gukom towards Asher and ran back down the collapsed tunnel.

Rapshade scampered out of the gate and paused, purposely applying a little pressure to his broken leg. "Oho, looks like freedom'll fall right into my paws..." The ferret whispered, taking in his surroundings with a glance.
He hadn't been outside the Abbey in a long time, and he still wasn't used to the snow. It irritated him, to say the least.

Following Rapshade out Bracklew closed the wicker gate letting himself relax. Somebeast would be along shortly to close it properly. Twisting around Bracklew set off quickly into the forest dragging Rapshade along with him. Their paws crunched the snow as they trudged along. Stopping once they were a good distance from the wall Bracklew released Rapshade and crossed his paws.

"Alright ferret, we're out. Uphold your end of the deal, how in the blazes do you expect to deal with Alfhild?"

"Well, for starters, we wait for her to come to us." Rapshade said, breaking into a grin. "But what'd you expect? I already said you won't fit in my plan." The ferret chuckled to himself and sat down near a tree to adjust the splint on his leg.
"I trust you'll let me do this on my own, unless you want her to win."
