Asher leapt up through the hole next the Gukom, blinded by the light. A throng rumble shook the ground underneath his feet, and the hole expanded another foot in each direction, making it more like a sinkhole. The squirrel leapt back. "Well then... I don't think our vixen will be coming out through there. Let's go see the Abbot..."

"I'm on edge, and I want this over with." Bracklew hissed as he continued pacing. "I suppose its all fine with you, but I care about my home and I don't want to see it under attack."

"Gaaah! The earthwalkers horde-earthwalkers fought. Go red house. Scout say, much quick, many shiny sticks Creeaah!" Grah did a small shuffle of her feathers glaring at the wildcat. Balancing on one foot she reached out with the other and tapped Farden's sword with her curved claw.

"They run? No fight, shining stick? Creeaah."

Rapshade's eye twitched as he scratched at his neck. "You keep askin' me what my plan is. What's your plan?"

--

Alfhild grabbed Glaser by the ear and dismissed his friends before leading him to the edge of the trees. Here she let go and dropped into a squat, motioning for the rat to come closer.
"See these?"

Glaser rubbed behind his ear. "Pawprints, Marm?"

"Not just any pawprints; weasel pawprints." Alfhild said with a sweet grin. Her bracelets jingled as she moved forward to better indicate the paw trail.  "See where they lead? Follow them until you come across the weasel, and bring him here. It'd be nice to have somebeast in the horde who knows the land. They could tell us the best places to raid, dangers we should avoid...all that, dear. Now go!" Snarling suddenly, the ferret sent the rat running and yelping with a slap to the back with the flat of her blade.
There he goes. Soon the fate of all of Mossflower will fall into my open paws.

Fardan was torn between responding to Grah and asking Alfhild just what she was doing. Finally, he decided on a course of action and, beaconing Grah to follow him, the wildcat said to the ferret, "Grah said that her scouts found the group of woodlanders that we'd ambushed earlier; they're headed towards the Abbey. They'll make it there soon."

OOC: Ugh, I'm terrible at RPing Fardan.

OOC: Try and make him more like a Nazi Commander maybe? Cold, crisp, and sure of himself.

"My plan," Bracklew growled in frustration. "Was to make an agreement with you, because you were sure that you could deal your aunt. Whatever happens, It'll be you and I who are at risk, and Redwall might not even be touched. If we are successful then yay, if not we die. But who is going to be saddened by the loss of a useless warrior, and a pirate?" He stomped his footpaws trying to warm them while thinking over the last few minutes. He looked up suddenly, his eyes narrowed reproachfully.

"I'm starting to think you don't have a way to do this." He snarled suspiciously. "And all that talk, was just talk."

"Creeaah, no!" Grah screeched angrily. "What do? Horde-earthwalkers not make time. Baaah. Earthwalker cat should move when Krah say move. Creeaah!"

"Fangfang. Max. Duncan. Grant. Log-a-Log. Aver. Really, call yourself useless again an' I'll laugh in yer face." Rapshade said blandly. "And Drubble and Fang'll miss me, so don't go saying nobeast cares about either of us. Got it?"
He snorted, shivering as he glanced about and ignored Bracklew's suspicious next statement.
"C'mon, let's get somewhere warm."

Stung by Rapshade's rebuttal Bracklew stood tongue tied for a moment. Somewhere inside Bracklew knew Rapshade was right, but raw stubbornness kept him from admitting it to himself. The facts itched at the back of his head simply driving Bracklew to become more infuriated every moment he dwelt upon it. Snorting he shrugged it off nodding. "Alright fine, lets find somewhere warm. I know where an abandoned cabin is."

OOC-
Is it the cabin where they found the letter? :O
IC-
"Lead th' way, O Great One." Said Rapshade sarcastically, stepping back to allow Bracklew to do just so. He wiped a fleck of snow off his nose while tapping his claws against the bark of a tree. "Oh, and I forgot one. That Petu rabbit cares about you as well."

--

Roscoe sat near a small fire, attempting to roast a bird though not coming anywhere near it. The stick was too heavy and the bird kept whacking the ground.
All in all, it was a laughable sight.

The rat, Glaser, crouched behind him in the bushes, rubbing his stinging back. He'd trailed the weasel quite easily and was now thinking of what to say.
When he'd got something, he stood up and walked over. Roscoe looked up, spitting into the fire.
"Who're yew, Rat?"

LT Sandpaw

OOC: It is!

IC:

After a hour long march rounding Redwall, slogging through snow and over frozen streams the two found themselves only a short distance from the cabin. Their journey had taken considerably more time then expected as Rapshade was limping along unaided by a pouting Bracklew.

Descending across a last clearing the squirrel pointed with his casted paw towards the cabin just visable through the trees. "There it is. Remember this place?" He snapped not really expecting Rapshade to answer. "Hurry up already, my tail is freezing off."

Munching on a biscuit Petu ascended the Great Hall steps entering the hall. Spotting Drubble standing a short way off the rabbit sauntered over waving a paw in greeting.

"Hello mister Drubbs, pleasant morn' isn't it."

OOC-
Awesome. ;D

"How do y' think I feel?" Rapshade muttered as he tramped along behind Bracklew, getting slower and more tired by the minute.
When they got to the slightly unhinged door, he let out a sigh of relief and darted inside.

Groddil

At Redwall's main gate, a group of Vigil soldiers laid down their weapons and hurried back into the woods to help the wounded. One-Ear leant on Charm's shoulder until they reached their destination, when the fox kicked the gate roughly.
"Hello? This is the Vigil. Open the gates, the Abbey is in danger!"

*****

Drubble nodded at Petu.
"Pleasant as it cudd be, oi guess. Unless, o' course, you be's one o' those poor beasts locked up in th'infirmary."

All was quiet, then there were a few scuffling noises and hushed voices, and the gates swung open. Fangfang and Grant exchanged wary glances after realizing it was the Vigil.
"Doesn't look like it's in danger t' me..." Fang said.

Hickory

"That's cause it isn't."

Asher appeared behind Grant. "Pardon the hole in the ground by th'pond, Abbot, but your fox had a... Unorthodox way into the Abbey." He slipped through the gate and joined the crowd of Vigil soldiers.

Grant narrowed his eyes.
"Would any of you beasts like to explain what's going on, or are you all just going to barge in here and be vague? If it's the latter, I'll assure you that I don't have the time nor patience to hear it."

"I don't particularly care." Bracklew shot back forcing his way past the shattered door. Stepping across the moldy floor boards, and watching distastefully as termites and roaches scuttled away from his footpaws. Turning a disgusted lip up at the mess Bracklew set his pack down, eyeing the bed that stood against the far wall.

"You can have that, I'm rather against having fleas."

~*~*~*~*~*~

"Oh they'll be fine." Petu said dismissively, he still hadn't gotten over how Bracklew had treated him earlier. The rabbit supposed that he shouldn't have been so condescending to Rapshade, but Bracklew defending the ferret was strange. "Actually." Petu suggested suddenly. "Why don't we take them lunch?"
