"They wouldn't take his medicine, unless..." Grant's eyes widened. "What if they ran off together?"

Vadoma watched the back and forth conversation between Fardan and Bracklew with a devious smirk on her face. She got up and scampered out there tent, into the snow.
"That isn't the truth, Fardan, Sir. I fought them and obviously there wasn't even enough of them to make sure I didn't escape." Said the vixen snidely as she passed him.

"I'd much rather die for Redwall," Bracklew responded. "Then live as this pathetic, weak excuse for holder of the sword that I am now. My name is Bracklew, Champion of Redwall, and I know everything about Redwall's defenses." Bracklew's voice grew quieter as he continued, his eyes lowered in shame. "And I will tell you nothing, because whether I should be warrior of Redwall or not, it is my sworn duty to protect the Abbey. So save yourself some time, and do me a favor. Kill me now."

His chest covered in long scratches Aver battered away at the seemingly endless horde of mole-things. The big otter had broken his javelin, and was now taking swings with both sides of the weapon bowling over two or even three of the creatures at once. Their sharp teeth were beginning to take a toll even on him, and the otter felt himself getting pressed back, no matter how ferociously he smashed heads, paws, and chests.

His voice hoarse from his endless shouting Aver coughed, yelling to the fox and squirrel. "Don't wait! Take the shot we need to stop them, they're too many!"

"That's what I was thinking Father," Rayne said rather testily. "But you said Bracklew and Rapshade wouldn't do something like that. Except the missing medicine suggest that is the case."

Grant nodded. "I said that Bracklew wouldn't force Rapshade, and if he tried, the ferret would put up a stink about it...but if they were both willing..."

"This's creepy." Fang muttered, stepping behind Duncan.

Fardan smiled, showing his sharp, pointed teeth. "Excellent! You really are stupid. You know, I think I'll ask Rapshade just how much the Redwallers would want for you... I'm sure he'll provide a better source of information. I'll come back to you later."

He turned his back on the squirrel and walked out of the tent.

Asher yelled back to One-Ear. "Alright. I'll shoot left and you shoot right. Aver, just try and keep them away from us for about five seconds... That's all I need to take the shot."

He tightened the bowstring and held the paw to his cheek, sighting the leader...

OOC-
How would Fardan know that Rapshade wants to kill his aunt? As far as I remember, he only told that to Bracklew. Or if he said it aloud, Fardan wasn't there.

Hickory

OOC: Well, as far as I know it would seem to be a pretty open intent... At least, that Rapshade didn't have any good intentions.

OOC-
He acted neutral while watching the battle and his conversations with Alfhild in the tent are private... Therefore the only ones getting the hint would be Alfhild and maybe Vadoma if he told her in the past.

"Two!"
One-Ear kicked out at yet another Mole-Creature that had gripped the end of his crossbow. The fox pulled another bolt from his pouch and stabbed it into the eye of a beast that was about to jump on Asher.
"THREE!"
The fox and squirrel both loosed their projectiles, sending the sharpened arrows on an upward spiral straight for the hole in the roof. The leader jumped out of the way of the bolt, catching the arrow in its arm. The thing squealed and began to jump around in the hole, swatting at the arrow. When it finally connected with the nuisance buried in its flesh, the leader of the mole-creatures wrenched it free and let loose a strange laughing sound. Then the very edge of the hole, which it was now standing on, gave way. The thing plummeted to the floor, its fall cushioned by the masses of moles. The thing waved it's gauntlet in the air and led the charge towards the three adventurers.
"YON METTA BLOOG! SKILLI BILLI FILLI!"
"Ah, for the love of Hellgates. We need to fall back, get out of this tunnel."
One-Ear snatched his katana from Aver, shouldering the crossbow.
"Come on! This way!"
The fox decapitated a beast, leaping over its corpse into a large tunnel.

Following close behind One-ear Aver sent one last mole-thing to the ground before turning tail and fleeing into the dark tunnel. Twisting his ears to catch the sound of their pursuers Aver cast his gaze about trying to spot the squirrel and fox through the gloom.

"Are ye hurt mates?" He asked as they raced through the tunnels. "If'n ye are ignore it an' keep runnin'. Yon vermin be chasin' like th' devil himself be drivin' em!"

"So the question," Rayne murmured. "Is where they are, and what they plan on doing? I can't imagine Bracklew would be willing to run away at a time like this, at least not without good reason." The mouse healer glanced at Fang, eyeing the rat incredulously. "Fang do you have any idea why Rapshade might have willingly left with Brack, or what would be able to motivate him to leave the Abbey?"

"Er, er, well...t'be honest, uhm..." Fang fiddled nervously with the hem of his cloak. He wasn't used to being asked things like that. "We all know 'e didn't wanna be here. And Brack didn't seem happy either, but I--I don't know, I don't know..."

Groddil

One-Ear slammed his katana backwards, slicing a mole-creature in two. He resheathed the blade and put on another burst of speed.
"I'm fine, but we need to get out of here. The river. Follow the rope and get back to the damned river!"
The fox dashed down a smaller tunnel to the right, where the rope was still stuck to the wall.

Splashing into the water Aver flinched as the freezing cold liquid mixed with the blood from his many scratches. Growling he steadied himself halfway out into the stream motioning for the others to stand behind him.

"Th' tunnels might be th' varmints 'ome, but water be mine. Stand b'hind me mates, we'll inch upriver eh." The big otter took a ready stance glaring at the swarm of mole-things that were gathering along the shore.

"Oy, I don' think they like the water," Aver announced after a short while of growling back and forth; none of the mole-things going ventured much farther forward, and simply swiped their claws angrily at the river's edge. "Les 'ope they don' figure out how to throw rocks. Les' get out o' here mates."

OOC: You guys want to skip till One-ear and the two As get out from underground, and when a search party has been formed by the Abbot and Rayne, and Fardan has reached Alfhild's tent to question Rapshade?
