Howdy folks. I'm back, and in the time since I left the Redwall forums, I've actually become able to commit to things, so I figured I'd get back into the groove by starting up a roleplay.

PLOT
The Eternal Storm takes place at Redwall Abbey. Mossflower has been ravaged by a storm that has lasted for multiple seasons, and it has begun to take a toll on the residents of the Abbey, and the surrounding region. Recently, within the Abbey's archives, the elderly Abbot Denemander discovered a letter that details the location of an ancient artifact that is said to be able to control the weather. Handpicking a crew of Abbeybeasts who were willing to track down the device, the roleplay begins as the group prepares to leave. If you would like, up to two people can play a traveler who the group encounters after leaving the Abbey, or a beast from Mossflower. You can play two characters, though I would prefer to keep it smaller unless the two characters are integral to each other's story lines. Tha-that-that's all, folks!

 ACCEPTED CHARACTERS

 HanNorwood
Name: Reinhardt Morrison
Age: Young Adult
Gender: Male
Species: Hedgehog
Personality: Bold, and willing to speak his mind. Reinhardt never means harm, but often unintentionally offends people. He is private about his own feelings. Reinhardt is smart, but often doesn't apply his intelligence, missing obvious things.
Reason for volunteering: The glory it may bring to himself and Redwall Abbey to have rescued Mossflower from the storm.
Appearance: Bulky, though not particularly tall. He uses a dye made from berries to stain some of the spikes on the top of his head purple, and has a single earring, a ring of gold. He wears a green tunic over a white shirt, and dark trousers.
Weapons (supplied by the Abbey, or handmade. During the course of the RP they may find different weapons): A dagger. Later in the adventure he finds a large mace, which he chooses to wield.

Faiyloe
Name: Taymoor Havvar

Age: Young adult

Gender: Female

Species: Squirrel

Personality: She is a hard worker and a good teem player, she isn't one to assume things about people and she likes to think the best of them, but she isn't one for second chances either. She can be suborn and a bit impulsive, acting before she thinks. She enjoys a good time and lives very much in the present, caring little about the past and thinking even less about the future. Though she may seem jovial and care free, those who know her better might say she is running from something. During her stay at the abbey she became quite close to the abbot, having many a philosophical debate with the old [mouse]. (ooc: if you don't mind her being friends with the abbot, Oh and what race is he?)

Reason for volunteering: She used to be a traveler, she was visiting the abbey when the storm started, she had been planing to head out again when it ceased but it never did. She ended up staying to help the abbey beasts adjust to the new lifestyle that this weather required. However she has become restless, trapped within the walls for so long, when she heard that they would be needing volunteers she signed up immediately. Not only would it give her a chance to get out but it would also bring this accursed storm to an end.

Appearance: Taymoor is a red squirrel, with a continued aura of unkemptness about her. Her fur is messy and unbrushed, though she is not dirty or lazy. It is more due to the fact that she never stops, she is always doing one thing or another, and often takes to much on her plate. She usually wears an odd modified habit of her own making. The sleeves have been removed and the hem has been taken in to reach her knees. She wears a white shirt and brown trousers beneath this and usually has the sleeves rolled up over her elbows. In addition a brown belt and boots usually grace her figure. She has a large tattoo of a bird that comes all the way down her right arm, a diving falcon with one beady eye but it fades into natural patterns, reminiscent of the elements, farther up her arm.

Weapons (supplied by the Abbey, or handmade. During the course of the RP they may find different weapons): She had been at the abbey for so long that she misplaced her old weapons. For the journey she has supplied herself with a hand ax, formerly used to chop wood, and a knife.

 Skarz
Name: Sulvatten

Age: 39

Gender: Male

Species: Wildcat

Personality: If serious was a person, Sulvatten would be him. He does everything with intense purpose and unrelenting stubbornness. If he has a mission, the wildcat will complete it, period. Even on his own, Sulvatten will never cease to keep himself directly on course, be it about his meals to the path he walks.

Appearance: Though he is not as young as he once was, Sulvatten's body is hardened to the elements and all manner of physical strain, and he is just as strong and agile as he was a decade prior. He has the usual wildcat markings, though they are a little darker in tone, and the fur is peppered with scars from his hard life, one in particular being one that starts from under his left, heavy-browed, yellow eye, and ends at the corner of his jaw. His clothes consist of a dark green tunic and a brown leather jerkin, as well as a pair of black pantaloons and a cloak the same color of his tunic.

Weapons: Longsword, bow, and dagger.

Other: Sulvatten came from the North, the hard, dangerous land that the southerners do not venture into. Now he has come south, and found the land in the storm that has ravaged the land, its effects not reaching to the northern lands, and if is has, it has done very little to harm it. Now the wildcat has heard tale of a talisman that might stop the eternal storm, and is desirous that it become his, to use for his own purposes, and he seeks his own path to the artifact.

Name: Bolstan Rudderpaw

Age: Young adult

Gender: Male

Species: Otter

Personality: Cheerful and kind, Bolstan is willing to greet most anyone with a smile, and takes things less seriously than he probably should, sometimes. He loves to joke and poke fun, especially at his friends, who he is undyingly loyal to, like his new friend Taymoor.

Reason for volunteering: Where his friends go, Bolstan shall go. Whether or not he really wants to face the storm outside the safety of Redwall doesn't matter; the otter will bravely put up with whatever happens. When the venture to find the artifact was put forward, Bolstan was already considering volunteering when Taymoor stepped up, and it reenforced his resolve.

Appearance: Bolstan isn't a particularly intimidating creature, being of average height for an otter and not of great strength, but he's lithe and sinewy, and was the champion of the summer competitions for many summers. The otter is missing an ear from when he fell off the wall top into a tree, but it has long since healed. He has light brown eyes and an ever-present smile. For clothes, Bolstan wears a pair of gray pantaloons and a long-sleeved white tunic, belted at his waist with a thin braided pike-skin belt, a gift from his father. He was also given a good, oiled poncho/jacket against the weather.

Weapons: A regular otter weapon: the double-tipped ash javelin. Bolstan's, however, has two iron ends instead of the regular hardened wood.

Other: His nickname is "Bowls", a somewhat self-given nomen, since he liked how easy Bowls was to say compared to "Bolstan". He has never killed or fought anybeast before, except when his father would train him in the use of the javelin.

 Groddil
Name: Stinkeye
Age: Young Adult (probably about...20 seasons?)
Gender: Male
Species: Stoat
Personality: Very energetic and upbeat, but secretly terrified by being in Mossflower. Is a coward when it comes to fighting.
Reason for volunteering: Not a volunteer - Traveler met by the Redwallers
Appearance: Stinkeye has mottled fur, mainly white with brown spots. He is also quite free of injuries, and looks quite good for the average vermin. One eye seems fixed in a permanent squint, hence the name "Stinkeye." Wears a ragged, woven, robe and a metal helmet too big for him.
Weapons (supplied by the Abbey, or handmade. During the course of the RP they may find different weapons): Handmade, very crude, stone axe. Stolen dagger.
Other: Stinkeye was chosen by a Seer from the horde he is a part of to go to Mossflower and find the artifact.

 Sandpaw

Name: Trappil
Nickname: Trap
Species: Shrew
Gender: Male
Age: Teen
Reason for Volunteering: As a self-made outcast of his tribe Trappil desires to prove himself a worthy shrew warrior to the Guosim.
Weapon(s): A short, whippy shrew rapier which he keeps thrust in his belt.

Appearance: Trap is short and spiky furred with bright blue eyes and a splotchy brown coloring. He wears a stained, sleeveless tunic and knickers, however since the start of the storm he has taken to wearing a thick slightly rain resistant cloak. Tied around his head is a bright yellow headband which marks him as a Guosim shrew. A simple, but useful short rapier is sheathed in his belt and over his shoulder he carries a traveler's pouch which holds the simple things needed so he can survive on his own.

Personality: Trap has become very good at hiding what he is thinking, and is a instinctual liar; he would make an excellent lawyer. To mention all of his bad qualities Trappil is a coward and is frightened easily, jumping at small noises, and or movements. Unhelpfully he is also crude and has no sense of humor often taking things far too literally. That being said he can work with other creatures and have a good attitude, though he also has a Napoleon complex, but isn't a natural leader.

Backstory: Born, son of Log-a-log, Guosim chieftain Trappil was a selfish bully from the start. Because of his attitude and position Trappil found it easy to push other young shrews around, and wasn't very popular with them. As seasons went by Trap found he had no friends except those who suckered up to him. He went through a recession where he finally seemed to grow up slightly, and become more thoughtful and less of a bully.

Seeing this the Log-a-log decided it was time Trappil received his own boat and crew. With the new responsibility Trappil also found friends amongst the tribe and he continued to mature daily. Until only a few days into the Eternal Storm that sprang up in Mossflower, when no beast truly knew what was happening, Trappil and his boat crew floated on their own, on a scouting trip for the rest of the tribe. There the young shrew crew was ambushed by a gang of starving rats who butchered the shocked young warriors' mercilessly for meat and clothing. Trappil who had been resting a short distance away watched, frozen in fear as all his new friends were slaughtered. Trap was the only survivor as he hid, unable to do much more then bitterly cry in terror.

The traumatic experience reverted Trappil back to his old ways slightly, and he developed a stammer. Though no words were ever directed his way the young shrew knew that the tribe considered him a coward, and unworthy of the future role as leader of the tribe. Many of them only tolerated his presence because he was the son of Log-a-log. The seemingly endless storm was only making matters worse, and some even blamed Trappil, as if he caused the disaster. At last, unable to handle the shame, and torment Trappil fled from his tribe hiding in Mossflower, living on his own.

Other: He'll join the questers a little into the RP once they set out. If that is alright.

Other: He's an insane cannibal.

What kind of storm is it? Is it like an eternal winter, or just constant rainfall? Because constant rainfall would drown countries after less than a season. *CoughNoah'sArkcough.* An eternal winter would be a little better, because it wouldn't render absolutely everything dead, but it would cause extreme problems.
