I thought about it... I don't know that now's the time. There's other similar games going on now, and I'm not sure the public is clamoring to see it back again. Maybe we could try a reboot later, though.

What? That's Ireland. But I live in the U.S. I just chose it because I like Ireland, although I don't know why it has red instead of orange. ;D
Dreams, dreams are untapped and writhing. How much more real are dreams than that paltry existence which we now call reality? How shall we ascend to that which humanity is destined? By mastering the dreamworld of course. That is how, my pupils, that is how.

James Gryphon

Turns out it is orange, but for some reason it has a red border that makes it look red. Blame the mod author. *shrug*

That's not exactly the point of the country feature, you know. ;) Our community is diverse enough without embellishments.

What about the person that made their country Antarctica? ;D

Yes, well, that wasn't quite what I expected either. ;)

@Kitsune: Man, that sounds rough. I usually just get no response when I text people. Seems like a blessing in your case. Just PM me if you want to talk 'bout anything.

@danflorreguba: I don't know when you'll see this, but I think it's kinda funny how we seem to have a knack for wall-of-text debates, and taking long periods of time to type them out. You remind me of a frienemy fellow I used to hang out with online. Like him, you make a good sparring partner.

@James Gryphon Haha  :D I've got no room to argue with you on that one, we appear to have similar personality traits, but extremely different views of how things should be run (which isn't necessarily a bad thing I might add). I'd also like to add that, like sparring, there is no winning, only two-sided loss once one side decides to stop listening. Debates are only worthwhile if both parties respect each other, and thankfully, that seems to have been the case so far.  :)

On a side note, thank you for adding the auto-finish options for user mentions @James Gryphon for example. Really helpful with longer names, or names with weird characters.

Yes James, thank you so much for that. Now, people can actually get "Gonff the Mousethief" and not just Gonff.

It's bad when you disagree with me!!!
;)

It doesn't hurt to bring different perspectives to things. I hope that we can all improve from this, and that people can get a better understanding of why the staff have done what we have.

I read your new post; there's a good chance I won't respond to it tonight (I'm starting to get fatigue, and/or a headache), but maybe I'll be up to it tomorrow.

I think it's important to keep cordial relations between people even when you're on different sides of a fight. There was a space MMO I used to play. In that game, I was with a faction (clan) that had two major enemies, one a 'xenophobic' faction that was at war with everybody, and another that was basically a direct competitor with ours (similar, mutually exclusive goals). We had a few shootouts with both groups. The thing that still sticks with me about that is how totally different the player relationships were. The Xeno players seemed like fun people. I had at least one good OOC conversation with one of their guys about our IC space battle, talking about our fight and how it worked out for both teams. With the other faction, it was a different story. They seemed to be jerks both IC and OOC, trying to stir up trouble against us with the server staff or get one over on us with every little thing. We built up a pretty strong dislike for those players. It made the rivalry more memorable, but I can't truthfully say it was more fun.

To be honest I don't remember doing anything... maybe it's a setting somewhere in the mod that I just had to flip and that's why I forgot about it, I don't know. I'm happy taking the credit for it, though.  :) ;)
