Yeah, I agree. It makes it a competition to get thanks. And it's a distracting extra line.

Yeah, it'll say under the post how many thanks it has and who thanked it.

If you go to your profile, and click "show posts", next to "messages," "topics," and "attachments," there are now two more buttons: "Thanked posts," (which is all of your posts that have been thanked) and "Posts thanked per user." (which is posts that you have thanked).

Be aware that these opinions are coming from a hypersensitive perfectionist, but I honestly don't. I'm excited about the "Say Thanks" function (gratitude is an attitude!), but having the number of thanks displayed with the name and rank, not so much. It almost makes it seem like receiving thanks is a competition, and the numbers may not be reliable (for example, I just went on a thanking rampage, so it's likely that they're currently biased to the people who have helped me in particular).

Unfortunately, the "Say Thanks" function and the extra line under the Username may be a package deal. If not, though, I would personally like to see the latter gone and the former still around.

Perhaps I'm just overreacting, but I wanted to come out and say it.

Ok, I figured it out. Go to Profile, then under Show Posts it should tell you what posts were thanked and who thanked them.

And I kinda like the thanks under our names.
