Gonff the Mousethief

Right now, Non Stop, from Hamilton. I've posted about this song a couple times, but I truly love it. Now I haven't seen the play, but I do know what happens in it, and this song just ties it all together. Plus, I relate to Halmilton so much in this it's insane. People telling you that you write to much or that speaking your mind is bad. Perfect. Please go give this song a listen.
I want the world of Tolkien,
The message of Lewis;
The adventure of Jacques,
And the heart of Milne.
But I want the originality of me.

Did you say Makem and Clancy??? *tacklehug* You're my new music buddy. :D As to Darby O'Gill, I am rather selective in precisely which songs of his I listen to, but there's a handful couple of good ones out there at least.

Another amazing song, by a completely different band: the highly talented Steam Powered Giraffe (back when they were actually good...) who are really automatons built to combat evil Coal Fueled Elephants and were reprogrammed as entertainers after the war.

Ahah! Steam Powered Giraffe! I think they're still good, though... A lot of their best things were a while ago, but Transform is pretty (though I guess that's just Rabbit) and Fire Fire is pretty great too.

I did like "Fire Fire"...it's just that I fell in love with the whole vaudeville thing they had going on in the beginning (going to a live performance of theirs at the SD zoo was actually what got me into steampunk), and when they got bigger they changed their whole style. :-\ Plus I miss Jon, and much prefer Sam Luke as a drummer than as Hatchworth. But that's just me and my opinion. Glad to find someone else who likes the band though!

Favorite trenchcoated characters: Castiel, Lt. Columbo, Capt. Malcolm Reynolds, The Doctor, Harry Dresden, Sherlock Holmes

Skyblade

Some of my favorites. I crave lyrics that make me think.
