Ebantu the Kararehe

Logical, I suppose. Since she has a million dogs.
Infant Ebby is a smol, out-of-control firebending terror. It's a good thing she's also quite cute.

May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
And rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.

...she has a million dogs.
Give or take. Yeah, she also has heaps of deer, who get spooked at things very easily. Dogs are easier to contain.
I have a shiny thing! See?

Cats are more independent, though. I'm afraid I'm scarred for life when it comes to owning a dog. :'(

I did have a dog (Ebony), but she had to be put down in October. She was only a year and a half old. Her grave site has become a refuge for me if I'm feeling emotional. I'll hop over the fence, have a good cry, and feel much better. ^-^

Awww, I'd give you a hug too if I could Eb.  I'm sorry, that must've been extremely difficult for you; losing a dog (or pet in general) is never easy....

*hugs Ebby* I'm glad you have a refuge. If you need ears to listen, remember you've got Stanley. Horses are very good listeners. (or you could use Stretch, if he'd cooperate)
I'm also willing to listen, if you ever need it, or offer whatever other services you may require.

Verdauga

I remember one day when I had to kill one (two) of our cats. I was pretty melancholic that day.
I've been looking back over these past few months, and I've felt off. Felt different. At the time, I wanted nothing more than to go back to the good old days.
But now? Could I just ignore all the ways I've suffered and grown? Caught hold and let go? Could I return from life, having now lived?

That would be really hard. It's sad when a pet dies but having to kill it yourself takes it to another level.

Fortunately, I hadn't spent a lot of time with them, but yeah.
