Choose Your Own Adventure - Forum Edition

[Groddil]

You set off through the trees. It's a nice place. No guests, and very few Forumites. You notice a couple doing their own thing, and decide not to interfere. Eventually, you come to the large apple tree Firehawke told you about. Beneath the roots is a tunnel, which you and Galli crawl through. You eventually come to a large cavern, dominated by a strange device. As you enter, a blue box sitting on the device disappears into thin air.



Before you can investigate, a strange creature descends from the ceiling.

The Creature

"I'm trying to locate The Binturong."
"Why?"
"Ashe told me that The Binturong could help me get my arms back."
"Well, he certainly wasn't lying. I can get you arms, but they won't be your originals. However, this does not come lightly. I require you to do something for me."
"What?"
"You saw the blue package disappear, correct? I have managed to perfect a device that will send something through to another dimension. The problem is that it only sends small objects. Smaller than a Forumite, and smaller than any weapons other than, say, a pistol, or a knife. That axe on your back would be far too big. I say this because I need somebody to go through it and... acquire something for me. A book."
"What is this book?"
"A Grimoire. For Summoning the Zoologically Dubious."
"Sounds... interesting. How do I get it?"
"Simple! I'll inject you with a serum that will turn you into ectoplasm. You'll be transported through the device, into a small family home in the middle of nowhere. Possess somebody, and have them log in to the forum. You'll be taken to an alternate version of this place. Seek out Dunwich, in the cellars. Get the book, then make your way to my cave in the alternate dimension. You'll be brought back here, to get your reward. Arms. Any questions? If not, dump your gear in that crate."

1 x Cable - A length of cable.
1 x Transmitter - An electronic transmitter.
1 x Broken Decodifier - The shattered outer shell of a Decodifier. Most of the parts are broken, but the actual body of the device can probably be repaired with a bit of superglue.

You nod. Jet jabs you in the arm with a needle, filled with green, pulsating... something. You begin to shake. By the time he's injected Galli, you've turned green, and your tendrils are starting to... dissolve?!?!
"Don't panic, all part of the plan. One you're through the teleporter and have possessed somebody, find the blue package. It'll help you find what you need."
Jet brandishes a jar, and swings it at you. You are completely sucked into it, and placed on the teleporter. Jet twists the lid shut.
"You'll be able to open the jar on the other side somehow. Don't fret."
He hits a switch, and blinding light surrounds you. In an instant, you are gone.

So, the teleporter worked. You and your glass jar have been transported into what seems like a kitchen. You see a man standing nearby, doing kitcheny stuff.

Move straight through the glass jar and possess the man.
Heat up your ectoplasm, become solid, and smash the glass.
Use ectoplasmic telepathy to unscrew the top of the glass jar.
