OOC:

@Kitsune - You're talking to Griggs at the moment, not Wrench.
@Lord Ashenwyte - Nah, bit late now.

BIC:

{Kit}

Griggs scoffs.
"At least that means all the defenders'll be dead. Most Vaults are just trash anyway. Terminals, the occasional laser pistol. Spike still wants all the garbage technology from the place anyway."
He kicks open a cabin door.
"Find a bed. But not the big one. I'll kill you if you do. Heh heh. If you need food, or chems, talk to Shank."

{Sage, Eul, Ashe}

The Raiders drag Jack outside the slave pen. Two of them kick him awake and start shoving him out of sight. A third raider walks in and laughs.
"Heh. Hello, meat. I hope you're ready for tomorrow, because you're goin' ta start workin'. I 'ope one of ya doesn't 'ave ta work though. Heh."
He stares at Lynn.
"Such a pretty face. Aren't ya?"
"..."
"Well?"
He pulls out a combat knife.
"Say something, ya liddle rat, or I'll end ya!"
The raider woman, Diane, comes up behind him.
"Bill. What's going on here?"
The raider throws his combat knife in one corner of the pen and stomps on the ground.
"Ah, nothin', boss. I'll be leavin'!"
Diane closes the pen behind them.
"Get some sleep. You start work tomorrow."
Meanwhile, the combat knife, forgotten, lies in one corner of the pen...

Kitsune

OOC: Fixed it.

BIC: Kit walked in the cabin. "Alright, thanks." He then realized that he didn't know who Shank was. He turned around to ask, but Griggs was gone. He would have to find Shank on his own, as he hadn't had food in a while. He walked out of the cabin, and looked around. He saw a Painspike raider close by, so he decided to ask them. He walked up to them, saying "Hey, I'm Kit, the new recruit. Could you tell me who, uh, Shank is?"

Groddil

{Kit}

The raider, in the process of using a stimpak, spat at Kit.
"Shuddup, boy. I'm tryin' ta take chems, me arm's all messed up."
He jabs himself with the syringe.
"That's better. Can actually move me arm now. Err, Shank? He's the Cook. Handles food, ammo, supplies, an' chems. Beautiful chems. 'Ee's over there, jus' ask fer 'im."
The Raider points to a large, crudely-constructed shack, made of corrugated iron.

Eulaliaaa!

Lynn kept a careful eye on the entrance and any other place where she could be seen as she slowly inched towards the forgotten knife. If she could get it without being seen, she'd get out of the place. If not, maybe she could try and gain their trust like that Kit person. That traitor didn't even think twice before leaving them for his own good. Then again, she didn't necessarily trust anyone in her group.
Just pretend there is something interesting and unique written here... I have nothing to say.

Kitsune

Kit nodded and walked off toward the shack, resisting the urge to say thanks. It probably made him look too much like a Vault Dweller, which wouldn't be a good thing if he wanted to fit in. On the way to the shack, Kit thought about how to get himself, as well as the others, out. He had managed to get them to accept him, but the others were probably under close watch somewhere.

Kit arrived at the shack. He walked in and saw a man working a short ways away. Kit opened his mouth and paused. How would he ask for food? He didn't want to beg, but being too demanding might put him on the cook's bad side. He decided to try to act like one of the Raiders would, even though he knew his act would probably go terribly and seem fake. He took a deep breath and walked up to Shank. "Th' name's Kit, I'm a new recruit. Got any food left?"

Kind of strange how she doesn't trust the three guys she's grown up with, especially since James is the Chief of Vault Security. :p

Lynn managed to grab the knife without being seen. Not hard considering most of the Raiders were either asleep or drugged off their minds. She hid it in the pocket of her Vault suit and returned to the three other survivors.

{Kit}

Shank glanced over his shoulder at Kit.
"Haven't seen you before. Look like a Vaultie. Want food, eh? Well, it ain't no gourmet meal, 'cause ya don't get that good stuff unless Spike says so. Think I've got somethin' around here."
He opens a nearby oven.
"Yeah, this'll do."
Shank throws a plate in front of Kit.
"Brahmin steak and some Pre-War Mac an' Cheese. Want some chems? 'Ow about a drink? First one's free."

Lady Ashenwyte

"So you got the knife, eh?" Sargon whispered to Lynn, "Keep it well hidden. If the raiders see it we're all dead."

"Give it here," said James, asserting himself over the other two. "I've got much more experience with weapons."

Lady Ashenwyte

"You're not getting anything, bub. Put the blade away, Lynn, and make sure it's well hidden."

James narrowed his eyes. "Bub? I'm the vault security director, so give me the knife."

Bobby rubs his head.
"A knife? You should probably keep it, Lynn. The rest of us are at least somewhat competent unarmed. Besides, I think you'll need it more than us. These raiders... seem interested in you, if you get my drift. Bunch of drugged-up wackos."
He shrugged at James.
"Sorry boss, but you know where I'm coming from, right? At least we've got armor and security training. Now isn't a good time to turn on each other, the Vault needs us. Especially with our numbers dwindling."

Lady Ashenwyte

"You're right, Bobby. Y'all better shut your gobs before you wake up a raider." Sargon said.

All of a sudden, Diane appears once again at the gate.
"You're still awake? Shut your gobs! Here, chow on this for a while, and keep your mouths shut."
She tosses several packages of Pre-War Salisbury Steak through the gate, and storms off.

Eulaliaaa!

Lynn silently took a steak and began to eat, casting a glare over towards James. She rested her hand over where the knife was hidden to make sure he knew it was hers to keep. She had gotten it first, after all.

Kitsune

It wasn't what he was used to, but Kit gladly accepted the food. "A drink would be nice. As far as chems go, if you're offering a few stimpaks I'd gladly take some just in case, otherwise, I'm good."
