So, just a musician's question. What do you sing? I sing alto in my choir.  :D
Here is brief description of each, in case you aren't for sure:

Bass: Male singers who sing deep are bass.
Tenor: The higher singing men are tenors.
Alto: Girls who sing deeper are altos.
Soprano: Sopranos are girls who sing high.

I unofficially classified myself as tenor.  Its more like "untrained" because I don't sing in a choir, but I can sing on key.

I class myself in the "awful" vocal range.

Go altos!!!
I'd like to point out that the girl/guy generalizations are not set in stone. For example, I could pull off the tenor part pretty well (for the most part) and I know a couple of guys who officially sing bass, but could sing Soprano really well, too!

Yes, I know. But generally those are the positions guys and gals get  :-\.

I'm an alto, but I can sing high if I want. It just hurts my throat to do so. ::)

What's that, about a three to four octave range? Wow...

Ok, funny thing. Last week at choir practice, our basses were singing an octave too low and our choir director was trying to get them to sing in the right octave. She was hoping that by telling one of them to copy her when she sang two octaves up that he would sing one octave up, but he jumped two octaves and sang the exact same note she did!

i do not know what i am yet but in Jan i should know i hope it is alto or both alto and soprano
Cause you are the piece of me I wish I didn't need
Chasing relentlessly and I don't know why
If our love's tragedy why are you my remedy?
If our love's insanity why are you my clarity?
Why are you my clarity?

In my choir, we have part 1 (high) and part 2 (low). I just barely made it into part 1.

I'm really not sure. I can sing pretty high, but pretty low too. I'd say I was...alto.
[EDIT: Actually, my mother says I sing soprano, so that's what I voted for. ;)]
