Please refer to the instructions for this before starting. Plot, setting, and the rest are up to you. Feel free to make an OOC thread on the OOC page to discuss how your duel will go. You have until Nov. 10th to complete your duel!

rachel25

Kumel, sat at a back table in a roadside tavern.
She was waiting, for she was the duelling champion of this area, and anybeast brave enough, could challenge her to a duel. Bets were always made, and Kumel had earned a lot of money. Their was even a poster by the bar, letting everyone know that she was ready, and willing to duel.
Kumel stretched her arms, and flexed her paws. Someone would come to duel soon.

Sophel (Soe-fell) the swift fox was on his way to the center of town, but his supplies had run out so he had nothing left to eat, he also had little money at the present moment. Luckily, he found a tavern that had a poster stating that there was somebeast inside ready to duel and bet. He smiled, "You want a fight eh? Well he just showed up on your doorstep, hope your ready." He ducked in with a gleam that shouted his eagerness to the rooftops louder than if he said it out loud.... Which he did anyway, "Alright, who's the maggit' who thinks them self so invincible as to post a sign on the wall! Hope your ready to taste Northern steel because there's plenty of it!"

Kumel, confidently stood up, "Well it will be Northern steel, on Northern steel then. I am the one you seek, fox. I hope your sword is as sharp as your words."
Many of the beasts in the tavern gave each other knowing looks. Kumel had bested loud mouths before, and she was always extra cruel to those who were rude to her.

Sophel was, to say the least, surprised, "Oops, sorry mi'lady, most of the time these poster duelers are just runty little slobs who just want to have their face smashed in every now and again, apologies." The fox said this with a bow, "Still though, I need money, and I don't have the time to seek work." He quickly drew his right-handed sword and stood at his own version of ready, left hand forward, and right hand elbow-backed so that the handle was adjacent to his chest, "En Garde!"

Kumel took the cloak she had been wearing off, and drew her double ended sword, all in one swift movement. "And the same to you."
She approached slowly, holding her sword so that the two blades were in front of her.

OOC: Sorry Rachel! Life's been busy.  :'( BIC:

Sophel circled with his opponent as he felt said adversaries eyes running up and down his own form, both being experienced fighters, this would take a bit. After sufficiently gauging the other beast, Sophel decided to open up the "Aggressive negotiations." The fox lurched forward, but stopped suddenly, stood upright, and crisscrossed his opponent with a double diagonal slash going from one should to the opposite thigh, up, reversing the move, and then ended with a quick thrust.

Kumel leapt back, away from the first attack, and countered the second with her own sword. Then lunged out with the other end of her double ended sword, towards her enemie's shoulder.

Dannflower Reguba

Sophel loved it when adversaries responded like this. He whipped out his second blade in about the time it takes to blink and scissor countered the strike, the big advantage here was that he had two versatile blades whereas a double ended sword gave next to no room for response, try to step back, you end up losing your sword or tripping. The swift fox used his left blade to shove the opposing weapon out of his own way (which causes the other end to get the way of the wielder) and sliced left-to right at Kumel's midriff.

Kumel had seen this coming, and leapt backwards, lashing out with one of her three throwing knives, at Sophel's neck, and shoulders.
This fox was better, than many of her previous foes, but he would become over confident soon, and then Kumel would finish him off.

Dannflower Reguba

OOC: You realize that your sword was in the way of you jumping right? That was the whole point of the maneuver. BIC:

Sophel easily countered the knife with a sword as his oppenent got in an even worse position having her sword behind her. He lunged forward with a right-handed jab, and in the case that she could miraculously respond, he hammered down with his left.

OOC: Sorry, didn't know  :-\ This is my first duel, so sorry if I'm not that good.  :-\

BIC: Kumel, decided it was time for a change of tactic.
She quickly turned, and stabbed at Sophel, before jumping onto a chair, and then a table. Now she had the advantage.

Dannflower Reguba

OOC: I'm assuming that though the Duels are supposed to finish today that you will want to continue, is this true? And you also forgot to respond as to how you got out from under my attack. BIC:

Yet another mistake on the opponent's part, standing on a movable object just never worked. Sophel leaned back to avoid the stab, seeing that it was but a ploy. Once Kumel had just gotten on top of the table he spun quickly for momentum and bashed the nearest leg off which would spill the other in his direction. He placed his blade in Kumel's fall path, and had his second sword ready to block in case of attack, or strike in case of a block.

OOC: What species are you?

OOC: SORRY! Oh and I'm an ermine.

BIC: Kumel cursed, but just before she fell, she leapt in the opposite direction to her enemies sword. She rolled as she hit the ground, and came up into a crouch.
Kumel jumped to her feet, and expertly threw one of her knives at her adversary, and then launched herself towards where he was sure to dodge to.

Dannflower Reguba

Sophel didn't move, he used his sword as a guide for the incoming blade, but it still glanced his side as blocking a small blade with a larger blade is not the easiest of moves. Now a little beyond ticked off, the fox switched strategies. No more back and forth, he decided to take ownership of the fight, "Hope you like Swiss cheese, because that's what your gonna be pretty soon here ermine!" He dashed to his adversary and swung both his blades from left to right, spun, and played his endgame card. Following the spin he once again hacked left to right with his right blade, but followed with a left thrust and a right handed uppercut. After the thrust, his left switched to a reverse hold which he swept across his opponents chest area, quickly followed by a roundabout right head swing. These last two movements left his blades in an x composition which he scissored at his opposition's head, and ended with a double stab to the midriff. All this time following Kumel's movements. No one had ever escaped this barrage, one of a number of combinations that the swift fox had developed in his years as a swordsbeast.
