  I believe you're thinking of the Kindle Fire HDX.  That one has a camera.  The Kindle Fire HD doesn't.

 The one I'm talking about is the Kindle Fire HD 7" (2013 model).  (I had to look up what it was called.  )  It has speakers, HD quality, and a bunch of other things, but it doesn't have a camera.

just to be clear: a Kindle Fire is not an ereader, it is an android tablet. There's not really any great reason to pick them over something from, say, samsung though.

I know what Kindle is and I know what fire is, but I'm not quite sure what the two words mean when capitalised and said together.

Well, that's understandable, given that I haven't seen any Kindle Fires in any store here in NZ.  Not sure why they aren't as popular here.

That's pretty good. You can get normal Kindles here for about the same price, if they're on special.
