I think American Pie is different to Australian pie. All I can think of for "pie" is apple pie and meat pies.

Pies aren't just for dessert, that pie is full of meat. It's a pastry dish. To be honest it probably tastes delicious, depending on the meat.

I have had pot pie that look something like that and the "slimy" sauce is really delicious and there are a lot of different type of Pie, like Fruit pies,  Chocolate pudding pie, lemon meringue and so many more.

That one, by the looks of it, is steak and kidney. They are quiet gross, yeah. But the plain beef, or the chicken, or any others are much better. And yeah, apart from apple pie, Australian pie is either that, or a slightly bigger version of that.

Blasphemy! Steak and kidney pie is the food of kings! Though that steak and kidney pie may be disgusting, most are not.

Me either, but I love turkey pot pie. And my favourite, key lime pie. Or even better... deep fried key lime pie.
