Actually, it sounds like they would...but this is pure theory, I have no facts to back this up.

As an avid pickle and PB&H lover, I don't think pickles would taste very good on the sandwich (maybe a certain kind of pickle?? Bread and butter, perhaps?) but they'd be amazing on the side.
