-Sometime later, the second mate was unexpectedly rescued by the subplot, which had been trailing a bit behind the boat (and the plot). The whole story moved along.

I'm in the library/schoolroom, and the walls are whitewashed, with dark brown baseboards and chair rails, and a few scribbles are on the walls, courtesy of the four-year-old, who likes drawing. There are a few cobwebs in the top and bottom corners of the room, and there's a duck patterned wallpaper just above the chair rail, for some reason. On one side of the room, opposite the doors, there's a large bookshelf that's built into the wall, and on the left side from the door, there are two windows. On the right side are a few corkboards, with papers from Sunday school and Phoebe's preschool class, and a calendar, all pinned up on the corkboards. On the last side are a few charts, and on the back of the door is a poster of something about the Byzantine empire. Is that descriptive enough?
