Because of the frantic pace of today's life, finding moments of peace and quiet to take care of oneself can be quite challenging, and that especially applies to meals. For most of us, a measly lunch break is what holds us together between breakfast and whatever happens to pass as dinner when we get back home. Naturally, the munchies make their presence felt throughout the day as we move on with our lives.

How do you deal with the sudden urge to have anything during the day? Do you get snacks? Pack your own just in case? Maybe you will the feeling away til you get home? Is this even a problem for you? I personally try to raid a vending machine whenever possible, but that's hardly ever satisfying. What about you?

Hilariously, I just had an experience in this todayy. Not after my lunch break, but rather between breakfast and lunch. Normally it is not a problem, but usually I get snacks if it does happen (purchased a honeybun right before my English class, as a matter of fact.)
I've been looking back over these past few months, and I've felt off. Felt different. At the time, I wanted nothing more than to go back to the good old days.
But now? Could I just ignore all the ways I've suffered and grown? Caught hold and let go? Could I return from life, having now lived?

The solution that has worked for me is to drink more water. It fills you up more than you might think.

Huh. That's the second time I have heard that.

Interesting!

shisteer of nothing much

Usually I get the munchies when I see food that I want to eat, in which case I generally eat it, or find some of my own to eat. Sometimes, for example, right now when Hiag mentioned apple pie in the food fight thread, I'll have the munchies for a specific food I don't have access to, in which case I'm usually just sad.
I have a shiny thing! See?

And also some random, unnecessary coding.[/li][/list]

DOCTOR: How is that news to anyone?

"I am Yomin Carr, the harbinger of doom. I am the beginning of the end of your people!" -Yomin Carr

-Sometime later, the second mate was unexpectedly rescued by the subplot, which had been trailing a bit behind the boat (and the plot). The whole story moved along.
