NARDOLE; You are completely out of your mind!
DOCTOR: How is that news to anyone?

"I am Yomin Carr, the harbinger of doom. I am the beginning of the end of your people!" -Yomin Carr

-Sometime later, the second mate was unexpectedly rescued by the subplot, which had been trailing a bit behind the boat (and the plot). The whole story moved along.

We should probably archive the whole forum, though -- it's on life support and hasn't seen any meaningful developments in years and years.

We just need to wait until the old members and us have families and children that we get into the Redwall books and then the forums. We must never give in. We can keep up the good fight and keep the forums alive until the next wave arrives.

I don't really think that would happen, but hey... More power to you if you do.

You have to offer people SOMETHING in these trying, goldfish-attention-span times, otherwise they'd move on to the next shiny thing without ever looking back. It also doesn't help that these are purely old-school forums without any "extras" like visitor messages on profiles and user galleries that people have come to expect from the modern web.

Case-in-point: I attached a forum to a site that offered something heavily sought-after, and now we have nearly a million registered members in less than a year and around a thousand more join each day -- we give them both a reason to join and one to stay, with lots of activity as the glue holding it all together.

But I simply don't care about the RACF enough to salvage it. Way too many rotten memories still being made in or around it.

I do have a backup or two of the forum kicking around on my computer, but it's a few months old.

The plan was to get to it when more information came out about the Redwall Netflix Show. Since that hasn't happened, the read-along has languished. For what it's worth, there hasn't been much discussion there. I'll bring up to the staff about more forum events and getting them posted to the forum discord.

I am sorry to hear about the memories *still* being made around the forum for you. I guess that's part of life, isn't it; something as big and as long-lasting in one's life as this forum is in many of our lives cannot, in this fallen world, ever only be positive-- it must at times be bittersweet. I suppose the question then is whether to flee a place for fear of dredging up the memories, or to leave it when life demands it, not leaving bitterly, but acknowledging the good and the bad, and letting the bad experiences help you better yourself.

At this point I'm just "rambling"; there's a lot to think about in this place.
I've been looking back over these past few months, and I've felt off. Felt different. At the time, I wanted nothing more than to go back to the good old days.
But now? Could I just ignore all the ways I've suffered and grown? Caught hold and let go? Could I return from life, having now lived?
