I have only watched that movie once. It was one of those things that was overhyped. So while I thought it was good, it was ultimately disappointing by how high my expectations were for it due to everyone that I had heard about it from loving it so.

Indeed. Unfortunately, it was the same way for me with Princess Bride. I saw both movies too late in life to fully appreciate them. And by late in life I mean like 16-20. ;D But old enough to have them hyped for me way too much by friends and family.

My fiancee didn't see Princess Bride until a year and a half ago... She liked it but she wasn't obsessed like so many are.
It makes me wonder if it has no more merit than having a very dedicated fanbase.
