What Eulalia did not know was that this Hitler was actually 1917 Hitler, also known as "Generic German Grunt #47", and was supposed to be in a French Trench, not a cupboard. By murdering Hitler before he could take over Germany, Eul not only prevented World War II and the Holocaust, but her own existence. The Weimar Republic put in place following the Treaty of Versailles was still challenged, just not by Hitler. A coup was staged, by one "Schnitzel McGermanName", to take over the country and overthrow the Weimar Republic. In the chaos that ensued, including martial law, riots, and a civil war, many Germans fled the country to neighboring Belgium. Among the refugees was "Klaus von Hans," who, as a stock exchange worker, was one of the few Germans to acquire foreign currency before the Reichmark went bust. Klaus boarded a flight to America, hoping to find work at Wall Street. As Klaus touched down in New York City, he was  set upon by a street gang. Among the gang was Eul's great-great-great-great-grandfather. Klaus, in a panic, shoved Eul's ancestor away from him, causing the American to fall back, crack his skull on the pavement, and die well before he could father Eul's great-great-great-grandfather. Eul, like many other people in the present day, ceased to exist as a result of her meddling in the past.
