Captain Tammo

I don't remember a lot of Doomwyte, since I've only read it once and that was when it came out. However, I do remember thinking the villain, Korvus Skurr was awesome. Not because of what he did himself, but because he was a character that was used to make the real villain, Sicariss (the snake on his head) shine as a sly and crafty character. Also, I loved Baliss! A rampaging, giant adder?! Yes please

Yeah, I liked Baliss too... I just hoped he would have been able to do something before going completely crazy...

Generally speaking I grew a bit less interested each time as the series went on, but I think Doomwyte was a bit different. I appreciated the fresh approach to the main villain (a bird? awesome!) and also the emphasis on the Painted Ones, which were always one of the coolest parts of Redwall. Maybe the protagonists weren't super interesting, but I thought there was enough in it to make it different. It has been a while since I read it though, so maybe I am misremembering.
Received mostly negative reviews.

I think the idea for the book was very cool, but it was very bland in deliverance

I thought it was pretty boring. :/ The only Redwall book I'm not gonna bother buying in hardcover.

Tungro

Yeah, it seemed kind of empty to me. Some characters should have been used a bit more
