The thing I like least about Outcast is that Veil ends up as evil as he does. There seems to be no good reason for him to be bad, except that he's apparently just inherently like that... Which doesn't seem right to me.

Machiavellian

Much like Taggerung, I enjoyed the Outcast intensely but for the single main problem- That Veil, despite being raised since he was a little abandoned ferretbabe, turned out to be villainous for no reason other than that he was 'vermin', while Deyna, raised since being a tiny child by Sawney Rath (Who really wasn't that bad of a guy, given the circumstances), instantly turns 'good' and sees the vermin, even his adoptive father Sawney, as evil- Just because he was a woodlander.

Oh, and might as well throw this out here, Skarlath was a kestrel, not a hawk- And I enjoyed his character intensely.
It's pronounced "Matchavalleeyun".
Nah, just kiddin'.
It's "Macki-velian".

However, Deyna was visited in his dreams by Martin.

"In the meantime, no one should roam the camp alone. Use the buddy system."
"Understood." Will looked at Nico. "Will you be my buddy?"
"You're a dork," Nico announced.

I still don't think he should've turned good so fast.
