Isn't it the other way round? Die is singular, dice is plural? Although, according to my maths teacher, dice can be used for both now. However, using 'die' is better because you can mess with Google Translate (unless you want to translate the rules for a game, in which case get a multilinguist).

Mmm, if "cave troll" were to be an actual race in D&D (I'm sure there's a homebrew for it, but I'm not looking it up  )  It would probably be something like +4 to Con and Strength and -4 to Dex and Int or something like that.  +/-4 is a pretty big racial modifier, but cave trolls are pretty big themselves, so the modifier would have to match.

On a side note, I friggin' love D&D.  Just wish I had some folks to play with -_-
