we have a 15 acre property and they grow like crazy at our house (they are always better if they are homegrown), and I do like them ripe better, but sometimes I can't wait for them to get into season, or my brothers get a handful of ripe ones but have unripe ones in it, and if I eat them, it itches like crazy. the dark red-purply ones are the very best of the best, though.

       Banana's are the best, they keep your muscles working nicely (crucial for lifeguards, so I may be biased). Not to mention, they're one of the few fruits you can use with icecream/custard in order to improve flavor.

well, now i know not to be a lifeguard. Bananas! Bleck!! and though caramel improves anything's flavor, that's just because it is caramel.

never mind about that. i take it back. Caramel doesn't improve the taste of the banana, it just worsens the taste of the caramel.
