General Ironbeak

I never understood why they didn't appear in The Legend of Luke.

Jack the Quick

Why would they have been in the Legend of Luke?

"Inconceivable!" ~Vizzini, The Princess Bride

"Art is never complete, only abandoned," ~Leonardo da Vinci

Long live the RRR!!

Tungro

Spike and Posy were the siblings of Ferdy and Coggs. If Ferdy and Coggs appeared in the Legend of Luke, why didn't Spike and Posy?

Also, behold this shiny medal! How I got it is a secret...

Also, also, I am running fanfic conteeeeeests!

Tungro

For the entire book? That seems a bit much...

The Skarzs

Most people have dreams of having their names remembered for doing something noteworthy. Most people, however, don't achieve that.

Obviously, Spike and Posy gave up their dreams and settled for being background characters.
Cave of Skarzs

Cave potato.

Tungro

Yeah, but not even background characters, they were not mentioned at all...

Cornflower MM

Yeah that's something that's always bugged me about LoL. Ferdy and Coggs were definitely more mentioned in Mossflower, with Spike and Posy being more background characters And then poof! Not a single mention of them at all in LoL.

The Grey Coincidence

Dark idea, but child mortality rates in the medieval ages were rather high...

They were somewhere else?

Possible they moved elsewhere and lost contact with the Abbey. Or more likely, since they were background characters in Mossflower, BJ might have just forgot about them when he wrote LoL. Mossflower was published in 1988 and LoL in 1999- more than a decade had passed in between the 2 books being written. There are also anomalies in other books with the genders of the same minor characters being different between 2 books etc... which leads me to think it was just an example of the author forgetting...

lass of something much

Goodness that is dark...Dark but (sadly) quite possible...

I like to think they settled down somewhere, but it's most likely as Grond says...Though it would be a great fanfic idea, you could make it into just about anything...

Haha, I like that. Sadly it is true in life.
