*Raises eyebrow.*
You're a Ranger? How did I not notice that earlier?
Rangers, generally, try not to be noticed. When a ranger tries not to be noticed, they're not noticed.

And, of course, nobody ever looks up.

You're a Ranger? How did I not notice that earlier? Have you been hiding silently under your camouflage cloak?
Whilst rangers practice the art of eyebrow-raising, they aren't the only ones that do. Horace for example.
As for hiding, I had my opacity field set to 75 since last week. That could explain why I escaped your notice so far.

Thanks for the artwork Lass, Scott, and Wortshire! (And Dannflower as well for the Worldstate badge.)

But Horace is terrible at it.

A better example would be Alyss, who does it in the first chapter of the first book. However,
Spoiler
she gets married to a Ranger.

I'm pretty sure Selethen also does it and he has no relation to Rangers at all.

He could do it before he met them.

Well, Rangers are the ones famous for it. Who can even say Seley-el-then properly, anyway?

Me. It's really not that hard.

Doesn't seem to be, when written down. But as far as I can remember, none of Halt, Will or Horace can. So it's probably slightly harder than it looks, which means even if you can, most people can't.

Evanlyn can. (and I'm sure Halt, Will and Horace could, if they wanted to. Selethen  was just easier)

I have no idea what this was in the first place.

Well, yeah, I know that much. I just don't know much else.

Talking of weddings,
Spoiler
wasn't Halt and Pauline's wedding great?
