There were actors cast in roles for the Mouseguard movie, you read correctly. However, Disney killed the Mouseguard movie upon its merger.

Well Walt himself made that movie I'm pretty sure...

Walt died in 1966. Quite some time before The Lion King was made!

Haven't even heard of Mouseguard.

I heard it's supposed to be kinda similar to Redwall:)

There's been rumours about a Redwall movie floating about for years. All I will say is I hope it's not made by Disney. With the direction that company has taken in the past 10 to 15 years, they would butcher the books. They would take out all the meaning and substance and reduce it to kid-pandering drivel.
Problems in life are never resolved by distancing yourself from them. Escape is never the safest plan nor the safest place.

Disney isn't *that* kid friendly... Remember Mufasa's death?
I actually played Mufasa in a traveling troupe performance of lion king, however lion king is much more kid friendly than the story it is based on.
It matters not what you fight, but what you fight for.

Yeah, I don't Disney and Redwall should be used in the same sentence.  (THough there are good Disney movies)

Yep. Instead of having cluny get squished, he would probably fall of the tower or turn good. Asmodeus would no exist, sela would escape alive, and the abbot would live. I'm not sure what that is, but sure as hell ain't redwall.

I agree completely, but I still think that it would be cool.
Here's some more cool demo footage:

If they made a Redwall movie and it was anything like that, it would be great.

I like how they did the fighting scenes.
