Three violins, now. So, are we all agreed that the violin is the best instrument?

No.

You do realise that you really need two hands to play the viola (one to hold the bow and one to hold the violin and do the fingering). A chin and shoulder are also useful. Unless you're only playing open strings, I suppose. Or maybe doing it pizzicato might be possible.
