Characters we wish we could've seen more of

This is kind of like characters we wish had lived, but it does not have to be a character that died. They could've just not been able to appear because of time or plot restrictions, or they simply never appeared again. For me, it was Tammo. I really liked his character and I loved the ending of the Long Patrol, but I just wish I'd seen more of him.

Romsca. Or Veil. But mostly Romsca to be honest. She had a good dynamic with her crew and a very interesting one with Abbot (was it Durral?)

Yes, it was Abbot Dural. I agree, she is kind of your idealistic vermin-gone-good. To bad she didn't last very long...

Hmm.  What about Askor?  It was said he wasn't so horrible as his brother (of course, this doesn't mean a whole lot given Gulo), and it would have been interesting to get to know him.
