Cool. I've had... five. Two of them were purchased especially for me but they were all second (or maybe more) paw, though I think Mum's old one (the one that I use now) was new when she got it.

The most annoying thing about the one I use currently is that it can't have music books in, because the pocket thing is too small.

My violin case doesn't even have a pocket thing. It's got a little bit at the end for rosin and that's it.

I have two rosins, because one came with the violin and I already had one.

I think I have several because basically all of our violins came with at least one and I'm the only one who plays the violin in our family so they're all mine! *evil laughter*

Why doesn't the rest of your family play the violin?

My mum got too busy with us, my older sister is now married with a baby and doesn't have the time and Lass only ever played for about a year before she quit. (Her and our violin teacher didn't get on very well, plus she was about six and had zero commitment) None of my other siblings did violin. One of them played the guitar, another two played piano and I think my brother may have played something else but they didn't get into violin.

Three of my brothers play(ed) the violin, and only one didn't. He played piano, and later on oboe (but stopped after not long). One of my brothers played both violin and piano.

That's pretty cool. Basically all of my family, including me, have been in various musicals. It's very fun. We all enjoy singing and there's a good community of actors and singers where we live, so there have been quite a few plays.

Either Christmas Carol or Joseph. (Though I wasn't actually in the latter, but it was awesome to watch and I frequently sing the songs)
