CLOSING CEREMONIES

With Boss Hayes vanquished, the mods and admins were able to restore the Extravaganza grounds to their former glory, plus some! As members drew in, some licking their wounds from battle and others grinning from ear to ear at their names on the scoreboard, Captain Tammo took the stage to start drawing the Extravaganza to a close.

Friends, it has been a weird month and a half, but it's finally time to bring out festival to a close. Not by abandoning it, nor by forum takeover by a terrifying rattlesnake, but by a good ole fashioned party! Congratulations to our winners and participants, you've earned yourselves some fun prizes as well as (hopefully) a few fond memories on the forum.

Now, I call upon you, our members, our participants from the past and present, our friends, to assemble sometime in the future and once again hold an Extravagant event for each other to enjoy. The environment may have changed by then - ideally not from a giant rattlesnake nor death defying beavers - and there may be some new faces who have come and old faces which have gone. But I hope that, together, we can all enjoy ourselves in this community that a certain author has put together. Thanks, everybody, let's bring this event to a close!

@Booklover , will you please put out the ceremonial flame and officially close the Summer Games Extravaganza? :D

"Cowards die a thousand times, a warrior only dies once. The spirits of all you have slain are watching you, Vilu Daskar, and they will rest in peace now that your time has come. You must die as you have lived, a coward to the last!" -Luke the warrior

Booklover

Booklover ceremoniously walked up to the great flame that had been kept burning all through the Extravaganza. "I officially announce this Extravaganza ended, though may there be many more in the future!" She announced as she extinguished it.
Error. Error. Cannot compute.

Teer cheered with everybeast else, then, unable to restrain herself, she ran up and hugged Booklover, careful not to squeeze her friend too hard.
"Good work, Book! Let's go find some food to celebrate."

Was fun for the short time I was alive

You're alive Tungro! We need you!

I'm actually surprised I placed as high as I did. There might be something wrong with my total
I've been looking back over these past few months, and I've felt off. Felt different. At the time, I wanted nothing more than to go back to the good old days.
But now? Could I just ignore all the ways I've suffered and grown? Caught hold and let go? Could I return from life, having now lived?

shisteer of nothing much

(OOC:) I'm not surprised. You did well in the events you participated in.

OOC: I only participated in three, if I remember correctly.

Long live the RRR!

Captain Tammo

OOC: Boss Hayes event counted more than the others as one of the judges choice events (the other was fan fictions). Even though it was only around for 2 days, many people were online for literal hours and contributed a lot to the excitement, so I'd say it was well-deserved. There were also gold, silver and bronze bonuses for the top three people in each event, garnering an extra 8, 5 or 3 points respectively.

OOC: Yeah, I suspected as much. The event was made awesome by the activity of the members, chief among them Booklover and Verdauga, so they both deserve the points they got.
I'd like to say though, the mods were awesome in oganising the entire thing and I really appreciate it. Thanks guys. *gives all the mods blocks of chocolate and hugs*

OOC: Of course! That goes without saying. *grins*

BIC:
Teer basically dragged the mouse to the laden tables and thrust a plate into her paws, licking her lips in anticipation.
"Somebeast needs to say grace so we can eat already. Is that your job, since you won the extravaganza? Boiled pudding that soup smells good!"

So am I.

(BIC) "Boiled pudding?" Booklover questioned. "Oh, right, yeah grace.
Gathered here we are today
And may the visitors forever stay
For though the  Extravaganza ends
We're yet to have a feast for our good friends!"
Error. Error. Cannot compute.

Teer shrugged dismissively as, giving Booklover an approving smile.
"It's just a figure of speech. Nice poetry, by the way."

Verdauga gave another round of applause. "Good poem Booklover!" Turning to the admins and mods, he added, "Thanks for throwing this all together! It was fun!"
