A Tale of Reedbind (sign up): Voyage of the Blue Star

Setting at the beginning: Holt Reedbind
An otter holt in the estuary lands not far from Salamandastron. Because this holt rests in estuary land it contains a mixing of river otters and sea otters. The holt is usually the home of around fifty otters. There are usually more river otters than sea otters. Some otters call Reedbind home permanently, other are nomadic and stop in for short amounts of time.

Reedbind is constructed into the rocky outcrops of a tidal inlet. It is made out of the rock of the area and also out of floating mats of reed that are tied to make sturdy living areas.

Settings during the RP: Will vary depending on what the players decide to do...

Story line: The RP will begin with a council being called in the middle of the spring season. This council will be chaired by myself playing the role of Shring, the leader of Reedbind. During the council it will be decided to send the ship Blue Star on a voyage to an island two weeks away from the holt. There was another ship, the Tide Dance sent out about a month earlier at it did not return. Otters from the holt will be elected to crew the Blue Star and mount a voyage to the destination of the Tide Dance, Tonnet Island.

From here the Blue Star will undergo various hardships before reaching the island. They will find the Tide Dance but the condition of the crew will be up to the RPers. Also whatever they find on the island will be up to the Rpers.

Ok, I made some updates! Here are some changed:

Tiria I hope this is ok with you... I made a switch to the roles. Because Madie was in the last RP as Searose, it makes sense for her character to have the position of first mate. I switched you to the role of Bosun which means your character will have a heavy role in looking after the crew and giving out jobs. First mate is in charge of basically what the Captain is in charge of. More like the Captain's right hand beast. Let me know if there is a problem with this a we will work it out

I hope this is ok for everyone... also, Oakpaw, if you want it, you can have your character in as captain and Shuffer can be galley cook. Let me know!

We need a few more before we start... anyone know of good people to ask to join in?

Redwallgurl: I will make otter five be a sea otter and then she will be just like otter 2. You can have reserve on her. Just make a name and simple stats and I'll add them. We are almost ready to set sail!!!!
