I don't think I cried.  Probably because I honestly never cared much about Rose.

I was pretty sad she died too, marlfox vanish. I still blame myself for making you read it though.  ;D

Well, Martin wouldn't be the same hard old warrior mouse without her death.
Although tears were close when I read it.

But come on, it would have changed Martin's story, and the whole series, if she lived.
He wouldn't have come to Mossflower, because he would have stayed in Noonvale.
The sword wouldn't have been reforged
Kotir wouldn't have fallen.
Redwall would never have been built.

I almost cryed when Rose was killed :'(. Somtimes I wish that Martin the Warrior was written before Mossflower, then I woudn't of been so sad. I mean, Martin the Warrior is my favourite Redwall book; the only thing that I don't like about it is Rose's and Felldoh's death (ecpecily Rose's). The only thing good that cam out of Rose's death was giving Martin a chance to defeat Badrang (which he did). If he got away, as Blaggut said in The Bellmaker, "He would of just killed more creatures".

Life is too short to rush through it.
